Welcome to this guided meditation,
Perfect for a morning practice.
To begin this session and this new day,
Sit in an upright position and let the eyes close.
Using the breath,
Invite both awareness and relaxation into the body and into the mind.
Start bringing your attention to the breath and see if you can deepen your curiosity about the very process of breathing.
Notice with curiosity the temperature of the air as it goes up your nostrils and its warmth on the way out.
Observe the parts of your body that move gently during the in-breath and also during the out-breath.
Sense the relaxation that grows in your body with a long,
Soft exhale.
Now observe any content in your mind as you deepen your awareness on the breath.
What do you notice?
What are some of the topics you're thinking about?
What is the overall quality of your mind right now?
Without judging yourself,
Simply observe with interest and curiosity.
Every new day presents an opportunity to grow our sense of wonder,
Curiosity,
Gratitude and awe about life.
A new morning is a new beginning,
Like a blank canvas in front of us,
Ready to take in new colors,
Shapes and textures.
It's a peek into the unlimited potentiality of the universe.
It's an invitation to reflect on what it is that we want to make out of our day.
On this brand new morning,
Spend a few seconds sensing with kindness,
Curiosity and wonder During the early hours,
When the sun first climbs up and when most of us also rise up,
Restored and rested,
It is when we can decide how we'll use this gift of being alive,
What it is that we will create,
How we will connect with others,
What contributions we'll make,
How we will express our love,
How we'll serve the world.
Identify and hold your unique intentions in your heart,
Sensing what it is that you're longing for and fully open to what will take place on this new day.
In stillness,
It is when we can open our hearts and minds to the unknown possibilities,
To the secret events that will be unveiled in the next few hours,
Opening up to the mystery and sacredness of what it means to be alive.
With kind,
Gentle curiosity,
Seeing the new day with a beginner's mind or with the fresh eyes of a child,
Embracing the unknown,
The uncertain,
The soon to be unraveled before us,
Fully open to take it all in,
One present moment at a time.
To close our practice,
Bring your awareness back into your body,
Once again observing any physical sensations you may perceive with curiosity and with appreciation.
Wiggle your fingers or make soft movements with your feet and when you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
May your day be filled with awe and moments that spark your curiosity,
Your sense of wonder and your gratitude.
Until next time!
