Hi,

My name is Carla Di Cretza and this is a children's visualization meditation.

So to begin,

Find yourself in a comfy seat or maybe you'd like to lie down.

Whatever feels best and you can always change it up.

Let's take a big breath in together and let it out.

You might like to soften or just close down your eyes gently.

Feel the support of whatever it is you're sitting or lying down on.

Now let's imagine taking a big step outside into a beautiful tropical rainforest.

The first thing you notice is the warmth on your skin.

You can feel this warmth all the way from your tiny toes right up towards your smiling head.

And as you stand here smiling,

You can feel your heart smile from the inside too.

That warm,

Tingling feeling in the center of your chest.

Breathing into that.

And let's take a breath in through your nose.

Wow,

And you can start to smell the fresh air traveling all the way into your lungs.

The scent of the rain in the air is so calming.

You feel a sense of ease and wonder throughout your entire body.

As you look up,

You can see some of the biggest trees you've ever seen in your entire life.

They stand so tall and high up into the sky with ginormous trunks.

They're covered in lush green leaves of every shade.

Every shade that you can imagine.

Wow,

Even the leaves are making a beautiful soft rustling sound as they blow gently in the wind up high.

You walk over to one of these ginormous trees and notice it has big,

Big roots.

You place your hands on one of the roots and they look so tiny in comparison.

And you start to imagine how deep into the earth's crust they must travel down.

And you think to yourself,

I wonder if all trees roots join underneath the earth and intertwine,

Connecting like a big underground system to keep the world safe and sturdy.

Just like as if the roots were all holding hands.

As you stand by this tree,

You lift both of your arms up to the sky and take in all the glory of the rainforest.

As if yourself were a big tree,

Grounding your feet nice and firm into the soil and reaching your arms up like two big branches.

Wriggling your fingertips like leaves in the wind.

Suddenly,

A friendly toucan bird lands on your right arm.

You're shocked at how friendly this bird is and how brave you are to be holding such a magnificent creature.

He's bright yellow and black with a big white stripe down his big beak.

He says,

Hello.

Welcome to your tropical rainforest.

Here,

Nature will care for you whenever you feel cold.

Nature will remind you how steady,

Peaceful and truly brave you are.

Just know that nature is always here for you.

All you need is to ground yourself and come back to this place.

Then Mr.

Toucan lets out a big birdie laugh,

Flutters his fluffy feathery wings and flies away into the lush green treetops.

You take one more deep breath from inside the rainforest and let it out.

Feel how calm you are now and connected to yourself.

Now when you're ready,

You can gently begin to open your eyes.
