As you find stillness,
As your breath calms,
And your body relaxes,
Consider the season you're in.
Maybe it's a tough one,
One where things aren't going as planned or as you hoped.
You haven't reached your goals yet.
No matter where you are or where you thought you'd be,
You're here.
Take a breath.
Allow here to be what it is.
Without expectation or judgment.
Close your eyes and imagine with me the bushes before spring.
You can see the branches are barren.
There's not much life left to them.
Or what about the trees and their fallen leaves?
They look forgotten,
Left behind.
Now take a deep breath and imagine spring as the life returns and the flowers bloom.
What a breathtakingly beautiful sight it is.
Hold on to that thought.
Beautiful flowers in full bloom.
Trees with bright green leaves.
Full of life.
As you hold that thought in your mind,
Remember you too are in a season.
It will pass and you will bloom again.
As this meditation comes to a close,
Take one last breath and as you exhale,
Open your eyes.
