Happiness is here. And now. Right where you are. Allow this meditation to remind you of that. Remind you of the choice you have to make  — to be happy or not. Take a moment to accept that wherever you are, whoever you are with, and whatever you are doing, you can be happy.

Happiness isn't a destination,

Miles from your current position.

It's not the reward at the end of your journey.

It's not because of this or that or when you find love or wealth or just when you experience something amazing.

It can be in the ordinary.

It can be right where you are.

It can be now.

Today,

Choose to be happy.

Choose for happiness to be your pin in the map wherever you are,

Whatever you are doing,

And whoever you are doing it with.

Choose that no matter the circumstances you will be happy.

Don't seek it.

Don't search for it in unknown places.

Don't expect it to be there in the future.

Accept that it is here now.

Close your eyes.

With a deep breath,

Allow the feeling of happiness to spread from your mind to your body.

As you release,

Allow a smile to fill your heart.

Continue breathing for a moment,

Allowing the feeling to swell in your body.

And when you can feel happiness all over right now,

Gently open your eyes and greet this moment.
