Often the words, "I love you," are recited by someone other than ourselves. In this meditation, take a moment to express the words to yourself. Allow self-love to fulfill your heart. Love yourself first, and always.

I love you.

These three words have a profound impact on us.

We ache to hear them from a partner,

From a family member,

From a friend.

How often do we whisper them to ourselves?

Take a moment to find a comfortable position in a bed,

In a chair,

On the floor,

Wherever feels good.

Close your eyes and let yourself settle into the moment.

Take slow and easy breaths until you feel your body begin to relax.

Your mind has started to settle.

You've let your thoughts pass on by and you are here.

Only yourself and my voice whisper these three words.

I love you.

If you're able,

Stretch your arms wide,

Wrap them around your torso,

Hug gently but firmly.

Whisper those words one more time.

This time I won't say them so your voice will echo in your mind and will be the loudest and only voice that matters.

Release your arms,

Open your eyes and welcome yourself back to the day.
