How much time is wasted worrying about things out of our control?
Things or people,
Situations,
The past,
The looming future,
Anticipation of what will happen.
Time spent on these things we can't control robs us of moments in the present,
On the things we can.
Like the joy and peace we feel in this very moment.
Without considering anyone else or anything beyond this time,
Allow joy to fill your spirit or peace to ease your mind.
Close your eyes.
Take a breath.
Deeply inhale.
A little more.
Now release.
And sit.
Sit in this moment with joy in your heart and peace on your mind.
Let go of the thoughts that are invading your moment.
Don't consider anything else.
Right now,
Be present.
Continue breathing,
Taking in joy and peace,
Releasing control,
Anxiety,
And fear.
Settle into this moment.
Be at ease.
Relaxed.
Each of your muscles melting in the space beneath you.
Your face settling from any strain.

Choose to be full of joy.
