Have you ever prayed and felt your prayers went unanswered?
Oftentimes we don't recognize the blessings in disguise.
Be above what we can think or imagine,
The abundantly gracious God in His all-knowing.
What is withheld may be for the better.
Take a deep breath and find comfort in your seat.
Relax the muscles in your face and ease your shoulders.
Continue to breathe and think of your most pressing prayer.
The one at the top of your list right now.
Consider the consequences of the prayer not being answered.
Now consider this.
God promises never to leave us nor forsake us.
So even in the greatest consequence,
God is with you.
He is standing beside you and guiding you along the path.
What you learn or gain,
From what seems like a no,
Could ultimately set you up for your greatest yes.
Or the ability to learn something about yourself,
Your destiny,
Or your purpose.
Something that can only be received in an unanswered prayer.
Meditate on God's word for a moment as I read from the scripture,
Ephesians 3 and 20.
Now all glory to God who is able,
Through His mighty power at work within us,
To accomplish more than we might ask or think.
In Isaiah 55 and 8,
My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,
Says the Lord,
And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
Because God hears you when you pray,
He knows the bigger picture.
He knows what lies ahead and what you need to be prepared for.
He knows what will benefit you in the end.
Take another breath,
And as you exhale,
Give God thanks for the blessings you didn't pray for.
