So just allow yourself to get settled,
To get comfortable,
Making your body as comfortable as possible.
And just allow yourself to close your eyes and to begin taking some really deep,
Focused breaths.
Allowing yourself to fully inhale and fully exhale.
Taking a few of these focused,
Deep breaths.
Allowing your lungs to fully inflate and fully deflate.
Breathing in peace and relaxation.
Letting out any stress or tension or worry.
Just allowing yourself to slip into this peaceful,
Relaxing place that lies within you.
Perhaps even imagining a wave of relaxation.
Just washing over you from your head all the way down to your toes.
Bringing with it peace,
Comfort,
Relaxation.
Letting away any tension,
Stress,
Or worry.
Just allowing yourself to continue to relax and breathe comfortably as you focus on the words that I'm saying or the music in the background.
And your mind may drift and wander.
Thoughts may come in and out.
And that's totally fine.
You can just let those thoughts drift by,
Float by like clouds in the sky.
Not clinging to them,
Not allowing them to disturb you in any way.
Just noticing them and then coming back to the music and to my words.
Or even back to the words,
Calm and relaxed in your mind.
Calm and relaxed.
Just allow yourself to imagine that you are either in an elevator or on a staircase or on a gently sloping hillside in nature.
Whichever of those is more comfortable for you in this moment.
Just allow yourself to be there.
And there are 10 levels going down.
And you are on level number 10.
And as I count down the levels,
Just allow yourself to gently move down the levels.
And each level that you go down,
You will become more and more relaxed.
Sipping deeper into that peaceful,
Relaxing place within yourself.
Knowing and trusting that your body and your mind know exactly how to relax,
How to let go,
How to rest,
And how to sleep.
You're on level number 10 and you're moving down to level number nine.

Knowing that you have nowhere to be in this moment.

Letting those thoughts drift by like clouds in the sky.

Drifting into an even deeper state of peace and relaxation.
Letting your mind relax.

Letting your muscles let go.
Feeling yourself sinking into the surface beneath you.
Knowing that you're fully supported and safe to just relax and let go.
Moving down to level number four.

Allowing yourself to slip into that relaxing place that your body already knows how to do,
How to get there,
How to be.
Moving down to level number two.
Maybe feeling the muscles in your face relax even more.
Perhaps feeling the muscles in your neck and your shoulders relax even more.
Allowing the muscles in your chest and your abdomen and your back to just relax and let go even more.
Allowing the muscles in your arms,
Your hands,
Your legs,
And your feet to relax and let go even more.
Moving deeper and deeper into peaceful,
Calm relaxation.
Moving down to level number one.
To the very bottom of this hillside or this elevator or this staircase,
Whichever resonates for you to an even deeper state of relaxation.
You might even allow yourself now to go to another place.
A peaceful and beautiful relaxing place could be a place in nature.
The beach,
A mountain,
A forest,
A lake.
Whatever place comes to you in this moment,
Just allow yourself to be there with all of your senses.
Feeling all of the beautiful scenery surrounding you,
Supporting you.
Hearing any sounds that you may hear.
Smelling any aromas that you may smell.
Feeling any textures that you may feel.
Feeling yourself being supported and held by this place.
This relaxing and peaceful and calm place that is a part of you.
This place which lies within you.
This place that is accessible at any time and available to you at any time.
Just allow yourself to continue to just rest in this place.
Allow yourself to be completely at ease,
Free of worry or tension in this place.
This place is a worry free,
Stress free zone.
You can come back here anytime,
Any moment.
Allow yourself to just rest and to be in this moment,
In this place.
You can continue to allow yourself to just be here and rest here,
Relax here.
You might even allow yourself to just drift off into a peaceful,
Restorative sleep.
Your body knows how to do this naturally.
How to get to that peaceful,
Relaxing and restorative sleep.
You just have to continue coming back here over and over again until the body and the mind remember how to do this.
How to slip back into that natural,
Innate place within that knows how to get deep,
Restful,
Restorative sleep.
So you might just allow yourself to drift off into that peaceful sleep now.
Knowing that if and when you need to awaken,
Your mind and body can alert you and do that for you.
