Hello my loves,
My name is Chris and welcome back to another guided meditation.
In today's practice we'll do a yoga nidra for growth and renewal.
As the earth begins to awaken in March in the northern hemisphere and September in the southern hemisphere,
The days begin to grow longer and we're invited to align with the energy of spring.
This season is a time of fresh beginnings,
Potential,
And expansion,
A time to plant seeds of intention and nurture them into full bloom.
In this practice we'll embody the natural rhythms of growth mirroring the cycles of the earth.
By connecting deeply to this energy we create space for self-discovery,
Healing,
And transformation.
Through relaxation,
Visualization,
And intention setting we'll begin to awaken your inner potential and step into the flow of renewal.
So let's find a comfortable position either lying down or seated,
Just ensuring that your body feels fully supported.
You might like to use props like a blanket or a bolster for some extra comfort.
So whenever you're ready,
Let's begin to close your eyes and softly take a deep breath in through your nose,
Perhaps holding at the top for a moment,
And then exhale slowly maybe through your mouth,
Release any tension,
We'll do two more times,
Deep breath in,
Feel yourself arriving here in this moment,
Perhaps letting the world outside fade as you draw your awareness inward.
I invite you to repeat silently to yourself,
I embrace growth and renewal,
I am open to my potential.
Now let's begin our body scan by bringing your awareness to the very top of your head,
The crown.
I want you to imagine a soft golden light,
It's pouring into the crown of your head.
This light is maybe warm,
Soothing,
Maybe feeling like the first rays of the morning sunlight.
And now feel this light flowing down into your forehead,
And as it flows into your forehead it's smoothing away any tension,
Let it move into your temples,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Even your ears,
Allow your jaw to relax completely,
Creating space between your teeth.
Now let this light cascade down into your neck,
And your shoulders,
Maybe you imagine it melting away any heaviness or stiffness as it travels,
Just like ice thawing under the sun,
And with each breath your shoulders become lighter,
Sinking into a state of ease.
And draw your awareness to your arms,
Feel the warmth flowing from your shoulders to your upper arms,
To your elbows,
Your forearms,
Your wrists,
And into your hands.
Notice the sensation in each fingertip,
As if the golden light just gently pulses there.
Next shift your focus to your chest,
And your heart center,
I want you to visualize your heart as a glowing ember,
It's radiating warmth and love,
Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath,
With each breath as it's expanding and softening your chest with each inhale and each exhale.
And next this light in your awareness goes to your abdomen,
Allow it to soften completely,
Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your belly naturally with your breath.
Maybe you imagine this area filling with light,
It's clearing away any tension or stagnation that you might have.
Now move this light and awareness to your back,
Starting at the upper back and the shoulders,
Feel the light flow down your spine,
Each vertebra by vertebra,
Like a gentle stream.
Maybe you let the soothing energy spread into your lower back,
It's releasing any tightness or discomfort you might have there.
And shift your awareness to your hips and your pelvis,
Feel them grounded and supported,
As if they are deeply connected to the earth beneath you.
Let this light flow into your thighs,
You feel them heavy,
They're warm,
They're relaxing completely.
Your calves,
And your ankles,
Finally let it reach to your feet,
Pouring into each toe,
And now your entire body is bathed in this golden light,
It's warm,
It's peaceful,
You feel relaxed.
I want you to now imagine yourself resting in fertile soil,
Supported and held by the earth,
Ready to receive the seeds of growth.
Now in your mind's eye,
I want you to imagine a vast field under a clear spring sky,
The air is crisp and fragrant,
It's carrying the scent of blooming flowers and fresh earth.
And you find yourself as a tiny seed nestled in the rich dark soil.
The seed represents your intention,
A desire,
A dream,
Or a vision for yourself that you're ready to cultivate.
Take a moment to silently acknowledge what the seed holds or means for you.
Perhaps it is an intention for self-growth,
Inner peace,
Love,
Or even a new beginning.
Trust whatever arises is exactly what is needed.
Now that we have our intention,
I want you to feel the soil around you.
It's soft,
It's warm,
And it's nourishing.
Above you the sun shines gently,
It's warmth penetrating the soil,
Waking you up from dormancy.
Then you see and maybe feel drops of rain that begin to fall as they soak into the earth and offering you its nourishment.
With each breath you sense yourself beginning to grow.
A tiny sprout emerges from your core,
It begins reaching upward through the soil towards the sunlight.
You push through the darkness feeling the strength and the resilience within you.
And as you rise,
Your roots grow deeper into the earth,
Anchoring you firmly.
You feel grounded,
Stable,
And connected to the nurturing energy of the earth.
And then your sprout becomes a strong stem,
Your leaves unfurling like delicate hands reaching for the sky.
And your branches begin to stretch outward,
Touching just space around you.
And then soon you become a flourishing tree.
Perhaps you see and feel your leaves rustling in the breeze,
Soaking in the sunlight and the life.
Your intention is growing with you.
It's infused with vitality and strength.
Trust in its unfolding,
Knowing that just like nature,
Growth takes time,
Patience,
And a little bit of nourishment.
And just allow yourself to rest in this state of growth and renewal.
In this silence,
Simply just be.
Trust that the seeds of your intentions that you planted will grow and flourish in their own time.
As you gently begin to reawaken from the silence,
Allow the energy of growth to integrate more fully into your being.
I invite you to repeat these affirmations silently or loud.
Letting them take root in your mind and perhaps even your heart.
As we begin to reawaken here,
Perhaps you say to yourself,
I grow with ease and grace.
I trust in the process of my unfolding.
I am supported by the energy of renewal.
I am rooted,
Strong,
And full of potential.
Or even,
Each day I take one step closer to becoming my best self.
As these affirmations begin to take root into your being,
Maybe you can consider these simple ways in which you can take this practice into your daily life.
Maybe by perhaps repeating these affirmations every morning.
Maybe even connecting with nature as you spend some time just noticing the signs of growth or change within your own surroundings at this time.
You could even do a little intentional journaling.
Just reflect on your intention.
Or maybe just writing some small steps on how to nurture it.
Maybe even having a daily gratitude practice.
Just celebrating the smallest growth that you see in yourself or your intentions.
Or maybe always just what I like to do,
Come back to the breath.
Notice where you're at,
How you're breathing,
And seeing if you need to just slow that breath down and seeing where the breath is in your body at that time.
So as we begin to end our practice,
Just begin to return your awareness back to the breath here.
So you notice its natural rhythm,
Rising and falling gently.
Maybe you can wiggle your fingers and your toes to bring small movements back into your body.
Maybe you stretch gently if that feels good.
Then I invite you to take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale feel gratitude for this time that you dedicated to yourself and your growth.
Whenever you're ready,
You can open the eyes and return to this present moment in a sense of renewal,
Strength,
And alignment.
I invite you to carry the energy of growth with you,
Knowing that the seeds you've planted today will continue to grow in the days,
The weeks,
And the months ahead.
Maybe we bring our hands to prayer at heart center.
We bow our heads down to the great wise teacher that resides in each and every one of us.
Thanking you all truly for coming and sharing this practice here today.
The God light and everything good inside me bows and honors.
The God light and everything good inside each and every one of you.
Namaste.
Love you all.
