Are you finding it hard to let go of a particular feeling or experience?

A little hurt or anger?

Do you find it hard to forgive?

This short meditation will help you anywhere,

Anytime.

To forgive let go and feel joyful again.

Begin by relaxing in your chair.

Your feet flat on the floor.

Palms facing upward resting on your lap.

Begin to breathe deeply and take your focus within.

See yourself sitting on a beautiful beach at sunrise,

Staring at the horizon.

Become aware of the rhythm of the waves rolling in and out.

In and out.

As the sun begins to rise,

A giant orange balloon appears before you.

Bring to mind any feelings that make you feel uncomfortable.

You may be hanging on to anger or resentment from disagreements,

Anxiety or fear about a family issue,

Situation or sadness from the loss of a pet or loved one.

Focus now on what feeling you wish to let go of.

And with the rhythm of the waves,

Breathe out the old stale feeling into the orange balloon before you.

And breathe in the orange light.

Breathe out the old feelings,

Seeing the balloon grow and explode.

And breathe back in the orange light.

Feel the orange light fill your heart,

Your abdomen,

Stomach.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

And as you breathe,

The orange light into the body,

A feeling of joy and lightness will begin to come back in.

Breathing in and out.

And when you feel ready to tie the top of the balloon,

Do so.

Tie it,

Let it go,

And as you let it go,

Begin.

See it disappearing high,

Up,

Up,

Up into the sky.

Just as the sun rises,

The sun illuminates and makes you feel joyful,

Clear and calm.

When you feel ready,

Come back into the room,

Wriggle fingers and toes,

And open your eyes.
