This is a meditation to help reset your nervous system.
So when we are in transition or when we are facing a lot more unknown than we are comfortable with,
Our body can have a tendency to move into fight mode which can activate our nervous system,
Really keep us on high alert,
And when that happens it diminishes our ability to be present,
To be curious,
And to be creative as we lean into and allow ourselves to create our life.
So this meditation is really to help you reset and give you a tool to be able to come back to your center and calm your nervous system when needed.
So we're going to start in a seated position and before closing our eyes I'd like for you to clasp your hands together.
And so notice the way they're clasped and then I want you to shift them so that the opposite thumb is on top.
This is called your uncommon clasp and it should feel relatively uncomfortable for you.
So I want you to just hold this positioning of your hands throughout the meditation and we're going to go ahead and close our eyes.
I'm going to take three deep clearing breaths as we relax more into our seats.
So go ahead and inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
One more deep inhale and exhale,
Allowing ourselves to really really sink into our seat and allowing our body to relax.
Now we're going to imagine that there is this ball of white light just hovering above our head,
Above our crown.
And this white light feels warm and welcoming,
Feels calming and so you're excited and eager to allow that to move from above your crown in through the top of your head just so it's starting to illuminate your brain.
And you can feel that this white light is calming the nerves of your brain matter.
It's resetting it.
It's allowing you to just come back to your most calm,
Most centered self within the nervous system within your brain.
You feel that white light start to move through your inner and middle ears,
Through your auditory nervous system.
And you can see it moving its way through your sinuses your eyes,
From your cornea,
Your retina,
Back through the nerves that connect to your eyes and then back down into your tongue.
You feel this white light start to move through your teeth,
Calming your nerves,
Through your cheeks,
Resetting and through your outer ears,
Relaxing.
Now this white light is starting to move through your nose,
The outside and inside of your mouth,
Your lips and then it starts to move through your tonsils,
Your pharynx.
You feel it illuminating and calming your vocal cords.
You see it start to move down your neck,
Illuminating and calming your thyroid and then moving through your shoulders.
You feel this white light move through the nerves of your upper arms,
Into your elbows,
Through your lower arms and through your fingers,
Bringing you back to this clasp that you have.
Resetting,
Calming,
Relaxing.
Now you feel that white light,
Notice that it's back up in your trachea,
In your esophagus.
As it moves down,
It's going to move down into your lungs.
As you breathe,
Just feel that white light illuminating the nervous system around your lungs,
Your chest,
Your breast and then you feel it find its way to your heart.
This beautiful muscle that pumps on a regular basis,
Has an intricate nervous system and you're calming it,
Allowing that heart to do its work and just a rhythm that feels balanced and in flow with your most healthy self.
Now that white light is going to start to move through your organs,
Your gallbladders,
Your liver,
The detoxer of your body,
Your liver,
Allowing that to just relax.
Reset.
This light moves through your blood circulation,
Starting to move in that way into your solar plexus.
Now it starts to move into your stomach.
This can be an area where you have a lot of just nerves and feelings.
You can feel tied up or tied up in knots or like you have butterflies in your stomach.
So you're just gonna allow yourself to just relax in that area.
Just allow yourself to be as the white light continues to move through your pancreas and your spleen,
Your adrenal glands,
Your kidneys,
Your uretera,
Your small intestines and then in the same way that it moved through your blood or moving it through your lymph circulation.
Really just moving through the system,
Relaxing and calming.
We move into the large intestines with this white light,
The abdomen,
The appendix,
The bladder,
The sex organs and we feel this energy,
This illuminated almost an infinity of this white light moving between your hip bones.
So one loop of the infinity is on one hip and the other loop of the infinity is on the other.
Just moving this energy between your hip bones and your buttocks.
This white light is illuminating your nerves and unsettling your rectum and your anus.
Then you feel the white light start to move from your hips through your sciatic nerves.
These are so important.
They're involved in helping support us when we move and we really want them to calm and be reset and relax.
Feel the white light moving from our upper legs,
Illuminating our knees,
Illuminating our lower legs and then moving down into our feet.
Now this white light as it's moved through our system can move out of the feet to connect with the grounding energy of the earth and almost bring that grounding energy back in up through the feet and moving through everything that we've illuminated to ground us even more.
Just sit here and feel the calmness in your nervous system and start to bring your awareness outside of your physical body,
Maybe about two feet around your body,
Into what would be kind of your energetic field outside of your body and allow this calming white light to move from your nervous system out into this field around your body,
Knowing that you are protected and you are calm within this.
Whether this feels like the right size of the energetic field for you or you want to expand it to five feet around you or ten feet around you or even bigger,
Just sit with what feels really good and really safe and calming to you right now in this moment.
I'll go ahead and we're going to take three final cleansing breaths.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Inhale,
Exhale.
One final deep inhale,
Exhale,
Letting any old anxieties,
Triggers move out of our system,
Allowing ourselves to be fully grounded,
Calm and illuminated by this white light.
Now in right timing,
I want you to go ahead and open your eyes and come back to this present moment.
Now you can use this meditation,
This support tool when you're out in the world.
If you feel yourself being triggered,
Getting activated in your nervous system,
Reclasp your hands in the uncommon clasp and just mentally say reset.
Come back to this place of calm,
Nervous system reset and allow yourself to be in that space.
You can use this tool in your daily life.
If you want to deepen in,
You can use this tool as a part of other meditations so that it's almost doubly effective calming your nervous system and expanding yourself in your meditation in any other way that you are focused on doing.
But use this to support you and use this to bring yourself back to center on a regular basis.
