
Womb Meditation
Give yourself this opportunity to slow down. The chance to connect more deeply with yourself, your body, and your sense of safety. I will slowly guide you into connecting with various aspects of warmth, connection, and safety - womb-like energy.
Transcript
Welcome.
Beginning by taking a nice few big deep breaths and finding yourself in a comfortable position.
Maybe starting with your feet on the floor or some part of you touching the ground.
Nice big breath in,
Big breath out through your mouth.
Just sighing it all out.
Two more just like that.
Big breath in,
Big sigh out.
One more.
Taking your body the chance to settle,
Taking all the time that you need to begin to slow down your rhythm.
Slowing down the rhythm of your breath and your breathing.
Slowing down the rhythm of your thoughts and your thinking.
Slowing down the rhythm of your day,
Your moment.
Nice and gentle.
And staying with your breath and your breathing as long as is helpful for you.
Beginning to bring your awareness to the center of your body.
Maybe breathing in and out through the center of your body.
And beginning to call all the other parts of you home into the center of your body.
Bringing your mind and your thoughts into the center of your body.
Your awareness,
Your attention.
Bringing your different emotions and feelings into the center of your body.
Bringing your spirit,
Your energy,
Your soul into the very center of your body.
So all these different parts of you are coming together in your body right now.
They're meeting in the center of your body just as they are.
No need to change or alter how they're showing up.
Lots of space,
Lots of gentleness for each part of you to come into the center of your body just how it's showing up today.
And notice if there are any parts of you that might be focused on the past,
Focused on old memories or thoughts or experiences.
Bring those parts of you back into the center of your body as well.
Bring them into this moment in time.
And similarly,
If there are any parts of you that might be thinking about the future,
Maybe worrying or planning what you're going to do later today.
Bringing those parts of you into the center of your body as well.
So all these different parts of you are meeting here in your body all together just as they are.
Take a nice few deep breaths.
Just noticing what it's like to have all these different parts of you coming together in your body today.
Noticing how you're showing up right now.
Without a need to judge or label it as one thing or another,
Just noticing that gentle space of observation.
Nice big breath here.
Beginning to bring your awareness to the wise part of you.
This wise part of you has the ability to zoom out the lens and see the bigger picture.
This wise part of you connects with the themes and the rhythms in your life as a whole.
This wise part of you is here for the rest of your practice today to support you,
To nourish you,
To guide you.
Maybe there's an image that comes forward when you focus on this wise part of you.
Or perhaps there's a body sensation that corresponds with your wise self.
Noticing how you're aware that your wise self is here with you.
Allowing your breath and your awareness to travel deeper and deeper.
Allowing your body to settle more and more.
Beginning to cultivate a sensation of warmth in your body.
Starting to feel this warmth radiating out from the centre of your body into every nook and cranny.
All the way to the ends of your fingers and toes,
The top of your head,
Even into the tips of your hair.
This gentle,
Supportive warmth spreads throughout your entire body.
Breathing with that warmth for a moment.
Connecting this sensation of warmth in your body with the image or the knowing of womb energy.
Imagine yourself surrounded by this beautiful bubble.
This beautiful circle,
This container,
This womb-like vessel that's able to hold you,
Comfort you,
Warm you,
Comfort you.
Imagine this beautiful protective layer all around you.
And just like a baby in the womb,
You have all that you need inside of this protective layer.
You connect with that sensation of warmth throughout your entire body as you go deeper and deeper.
You connect with having more than enough.
Knowing that you are safely held and suspended inside of this protective layer.
Feeling deeper and deeper.
Feeling yourself completely nourished,
Restored,
Held,
Just the way you are right now.
This beautiful protective layer,
This womb,
This cocoon that you're creating for yourself has no expectation of you.
It's here to support you just the way you are without needing you to do or be anything.
Take that support in.
Give yourself permission to receive.
Breathe in this comfort,
This safety,
This warmth that is your right,
That you deserve and that is here for you right now.
Rest with that for a few more breaths,
Expanding this protective layer,
Weaving in anything else that you might need most today.
As you remain inside of this womb,
This cocoon,
Notice if your inner child,
A younger part of you,
Would like to come into this experience with you as you continue to go deeper and deeper.
If your younger self is here with you,
Give them the following options.
They're welcome to be with you and observe this cocoon,
This womb,
This safety.
Or they're welcome to step inside of your cocoon to join you in this experience of being held and nurtured and supported.
Or perhaps you're able to create a separate container,
Cocoon,
And womb for them.
Perhaps you surround them with their own bubble of this comforting and nurturing energy,
Allowing this part of you,
Your younger self,
Your inner child,
To bask in this safety and warmth and support,
Maybe for the first time ever.
Nice big breaths as you travel deeper and deeper inside of yourself and inside of this womb,
This safe,
Contained space.
And noticing if your younger self,
Your inner child,
Needs anything else,
Perhaps they need a favorite toy or book or a really cozy blanket or maybe their favorite snack.
Whatever they need,
Give this to them now,
Letting them know that their needs are safe and valid and right.
Letting them know that you hear them,
You connect with them,
You honor them.
And perhaps even letting them know that you're grateful that they're here with you today.
Nice big breath in and out,
Traveling deeper and deeper,
Remaining in that held,
Safe,
Sacred space,
This womb that you've created.
And noticing if there are any other parts of you that need their own cocoon,
Any other parts of you that need this nourishment,
That need to be held.
Take the next few moments,
Giving yourself plenty of space and time to observe these parts of you that might also need this womb supportive energy.
And if no additional parts come forward,
Staying with your experience,
Staying with your breath as you continue to go deeper and deeper.
Continuing to feel warmth,
Safety,
Support,
Continuing to rest in this space where you are safe and held just the way you are.
Allowing the following words to gently wash over you,
Allowing these words to fill every cell inside of you,
Rewiring your DNA,
Allowing every single part of you to hear these words and to feel these words deeply and truly.
You are more than enough.
You are more than enough just the way you are right now.
It is safe for you to be supported.
It is safe for you to be supported and comforted.
You deserve to be held.
You deserve to be held and loved deeply for who you are right now.
You give yourself permission to receive all the support you need.
You give yourself permission to receive all the support that you need right now.
You give yourself permission to be learning,
To be a beautiful work in progress,
To be here just as you are.
You give yourself permission to respect and value yourself.
You are safe.
You are held.
You are supported.
Breathing in all of that truth,
Allowing it to bathe every part of you,
Every cell in your body.
Continuing to take in as much support and warmth and love as you need from this beautiful womb,
This cocoon you've created.
Remembering and knowing that this womb is always around you.
You are always nourished.
This energy that you've cultivated and these sensations in your body of warmth,
Perhaps of heaviness or lightness,
Perhaps of safety and security,
These are always available to you.
Your body remembers this.
You can come back to this at any time.
So wrap up this energy all around you.
Take it all in for a few more breaths.
Giving yourself plenty of time as you prepare to complete this experience for today.
Thanking all the different parts of you that came forward.
Thanking yourself for the courage and commitment to receiving this beautiful support.
Thanking yourself for this gift you've given yourself in time and space.
Beginning to become more and more aware of your body,
The places that your body makes contact with the ground or other surfaces.
Feeling the weight of gravity holding your body to the surface of the earth and feeling the earth,
The floor,
Coming up to meet you and hold you.
Taking a few bigger and deeper breaths,
Gently and slowly waking up the body.
Perhaps wiggling fingers and toes.
Nice big breath.
Perhaps moving your head gently from side to side.
Maybe taking a big stretch or a yawn.
And really acknowledging this beautiful space you've cultivated for yourself today.
