Today is day three of our five-day fall energy reset,
And we are going to connect to the element of air,
And we're going to do that with our breath.
And we're going to be very intentional of how we breathe today.
So first of all,
Let's start and see if we are breathing correctly,
Because for many years I was a reverse breather,
Meaning when I would inhale,
My belly sucked in,
And when I would exhale,
My belly would press out.
Many of us do that.
So let's check in first,
Place your hands on your belly,
And then inhale,
Feel the belly,
Just feel it like a balloon.
Inhale through the nose.
And then exhale either out the nose or the mouth,
You decide,
And just feel the belly soften and deflate.
So that's the first check-in,
Connecting with your own internal air element.
We're going to make this a little bit more of a dynamic practice.
You have a couple of different options.
So what I want you to do is maybe exhale a little bit longer than the inhale.
So we're just really pressing out all of that old stale carbon dioxide that you no longer need.
And we get to fill up with fresh oxygen.
So again,
Inhale through the nose.
And then exhale out the nose or the mouth.
And at the end of the exhale,
I want you just to press the belly in just a little bit more to get all that air out.
And then fill up,
Big inhale.
And then exhale,
Making your exhale slightly longer than your inhale.
And at the end,
Pass out all that air until there's no air left in the belly.
And do that for several times.
If you want to add on a little bit more,
A little bit more intensity,
We're going to create a pumping action.
So on the exhale,
You're going to make it a little bit more forceful and a little more quicker.
So I'll do a quick demonstration.
It's again,
It's an inhale and exhale out of the nose.
So inhale into the nose.
And then a forced out exhale.
And again,
Inhale.
I'm a Laxo.
Again,
You're pressing out all that air in the belly and really feeling that contraction of your belly button,
Kind of almost like pressing into your spine.
And this is really going to create an action of releasing.
So yes,
We are doing this with our breath to connect to our own internal air element,
But we are also creating space,
Letting go of old steel carbon dioxide to create space for the positive energy that we do want to release.
Bring in.
So I'd encourage you make this an actual daily practice.
Again,
Set a timer.
Maybe for me,
I oftentimes coordinate it as I'm sipping the hot water every 20 minutes.
If you're continuing to do that,
I might take a few deep pumping action breaths and then I'll sip my water.
So I'm associating the hot water with the breathing technique.
And again,
You don't have to make it really forceful.
The idea is make the exhale longer than the inhale.
And I will see you tomorrow for Day 4.
