Hello,
This is Brenda Keery with Sacred Path Healing,
And I'm going to guide you through an energy healing practice that I oftentimes do before bed,
Because so many times my mind is still kind of racing from the day,
And I need something to help me feel more grounded,
Which is earth element,
And more flowing with breath,
And just slowing down my thoughts and my body,
Which is water element.
So,
The first thing that I do is I have a small journal by my bedside,
And I write down,
And this is to help me just get some of these thoughts out of my mind and get my brain to settle.
I write down three things that I am grateful for.
I kind of consider these like the winds of my day.
These could be things,
These could be people,
It could be situations or experiences,
And they don't have to be really big things.
They don't have to be profound.
Simple like,
Had a great conversation with my husband tonight.
Can just be that.
And I write down those three things for just that day.
And then to set my mind up for the next day and so that when I do go to sleep,
My subconscious is ready for the positive aspects of my next day.
I write down three things that I am looking forward to for the next day.
And again,
It doesn't have to be monumental things.
It can be very simple things.
It could be I'm meeting a friend.
Or something like that,
Or I cleaned out a drawer in my kitchen,
Something really simple.
So once I have my three things or people from that day that I've written down and three things for the next day,
Then I begin to really ground down into earth energy.
Oftentimes I'll have a very grounding essential oil.
So these would be root-based oils,
Frankincense,
Myrrh,
Sandalwood,
And I rub it in the palms of my hands.
And then I start working down my inner legs.
So I just kind of either rub or massage down my inner legs.
This is where a lot of the lymphatic system is,
Lymph nodes,
Which is associated with our water element.
And I'm gonna come down to the backs of my knees and then just keep coming all the way down to my lower legs,
Front of my lower legs,
The back of my lower legs.
And I might do that a couple of times,
Just kind of like bringing that energy down,
Pressing my hands down.
And you don't need to have an oil if you don't have one.
Sometimes just the motion of drawing the energy down the legs,
And then finally to the soles of the feet.
So at the soles of the feet,
I press into the K1 point.
So this point is at the sole of the foot,
In between the second big toe and second toe,
Come down to the base of the ball of the foot.
I press my thumbs in there.
There's a little bit of a divot in there.
So just at the base of the ball of the foot,
In between that big toe and second toe,
And I'm just going to massage that point out.
Three deep breaths as I do,
So inhale.
Big exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Final time.
And then finally,
The last thing I do,
And oftentimes I do this while I'm in my bed.
So I'm gonna lie down on my back and draw some awareness to my digestion,
Because this is also the time where we start digesting all things.
So not just our food,
But emotions and thoughts as well.
So I'm gonna bring one,
Or you can even use both hands to the belly and move in a clockwise motion.
It's gonna think of this as a gentle massage,
All the while breathing deep.
And then I'm just going to say these affirmations.
And you can come up with other ones if you'd like,
But I like the,
I digest all things well.
Breathing deep.
I digest my food well.
I digest my emotions well.
I digest my thoughts well.
I digest all the events that have happened through my day.
And I digest all things well that are coming.
And then placing one hand on the belly,
One hand on the heart,
Maybe closing the eyes down.
And then bringing back to my mind.
Those three things are people that I'm looking forward to for tomorrow.
And just notice the feelings that come up.
And then as I begin to straighten out my legs.
And then bring my arms down by my side.
I'm going to draw awareness to the backside of my body.
So all the areas that are touching my spine,
My hips,
Backs of my legs.
Backs of the heels and just feel as if Mother Earth is fully supporting me.
Feeling that downward pull,
Knowing it is safe to let go.
That is safe to release.
