Transcript

Begin by sitting or lying down comfortably.

Closing your eyes or a soft gaze.

Placing one hand on your heart and the other hand on your belly.

Settling into this present moment.

Bringing your awareness fully to the now.

First,

Without changing anything,

Notice your breath.

When you feel ready,

Very subtly begin to deepen and slow down your breath.

Feel the belly expand on the inhale and soften on the exhale.

Feel the natural rise and fall of your breath underneath your hand.

When you feel ready,

Change your breath just slightly by allowing your exhale to be slightly longer than your inhale.

This will send a wave of calm through your body.

Now,

We are going to gently activate your vagus nerve by humming.

Your vagus nerve runs from your brainstem down through your neck and into your belly.

So,

Gently breathe in and expand.

And then allow a gentle hum.

Hmm.

Continue this humming,

Letting the vibration gently stimulate your vagus nerve.

Allow the soft vibration that you can feel within tone your vagus nerve,

Inviting in a state of relaxation that supports your digestion.

Hmm.

If you'd like,

You can make other gentle toning noises,

Whatever feels healing for you to continue to activate the vagus nerve.

Now,

As you pause the humming or toning,

Allow these affirmations to resonate deeply within you.

You could either say them out loud or allow them to wash over you.

I trust my body's wisdom to heal and support my digestion.

I release tension from my belly,

Allowing space for healing.

Each cell in my digestive system is nourished,

Strong,

And whole.

I am gentle with myself and honor my body's needs.

I am grateful for my body's ability to digest,

Absorb,

And heal.

Sensitive soul,

May you know deep within you that you are whole,

Resilient,

And worthy of love and healing.

When you feel complete,

Gently bring your awareness back.
