Blessings,
This is Brenda Cary.
The following meditation is an excerpt from my audio course called Achieve Your Goals for Sensitive Souls.
Using sound and gentle touch therapies from the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine,
You will practice a unique way to calm your nervous system so that you can prepare for the change of actualizing your goals.
For highly sensitive individuals,
Even good change can be destabilizing,
So you need to prepare your body,
Mind,
And spirit for the positive impact work you are meant to do in this world.
If you would like to learn more about how to actualize your goals and dreams with ease,

Begin by finding your comfortable meditation seat.
You can close the eyes down or softly gaze.
Let's begin by drawing your awareness down to the soles of your feet.
Wiggle your toes as you draw the energy down from the head in order to feel more grounded and connected to the support of Mother Earth.
Feel the sensation of your sit bones to your seat and any other place where your body is in contact with a solid surface.
Deepen your breath,
Creating full inhales and exhales.
And as you breathe more deeply,
Begin to rub the palms of your hands together vigorously,
Creating some heat from the friction at the palms and fingers of your hands.
Take a couple more deep breaths,
Continuing to rub the hands together,
Feeling the sensation of warmth increasing.
Now separate the hands about an inch apart,
And I'd like for you to focus your attention on the sensation between the palms of your hands.
And as you hold this energetic space for yourself,
I'm going to explain our first touch practice.
You're going to take one of your hands and place it horizontally across your forehead,
Feeling the warm sensation from your hand at your forehead.
Now bring awareness to your collarbone.
Take the other hand and place it on your collarbone,
So you're creating a V-like shape in between your thumb and index finger.
Your thumb and the other fingers are resting across the other side of the collarbone.
This is your kidney 27 meridian acupressure point.
As your thumb is on one side of the collarbone and the other fingers on the opposite side,
Press gently downward onto the collarbone.
Now as you hold both hands in this position,
I'm going to explain to you why each hand is where it is.
Your top hand on your forehead is drawing the blood flow forward in order to calm the nervous system down.
Because even when we are in a low state of fight or flight,
The blood flow goes to the back of the brain.
So with your hand on your forehead,
We are encouraging that blood flow to come forward and to be more at ease.
And then the bottom hand at the collarbone,
Your K27 meridian point with slight downward pressure,
Is encouraging this flow of energy associated with the water element.
This allows us to flow with ease.
And since you are pressing lightly downward on that acupressure point,
We are flowing the energy downward toward the earth for grounding and support.
Finally,
We're going to add a little bit of your own sound.
So as you deeply breathe,
I want you to inhale in through your nose and then a loud,
Audible exhale.
It could be a big,
Open mouth exhale,
Or a sigh,
Or any kind of sound that feels like a release to you.
It doesn't have to sound pretty.
It just needs to release any tension,
Especially in the throat or the jaw,
Where we tend to carry this extra tension.
Breathe deeply in two to three more times,
Inhaling through the nose and an audible exhale out.
On your final exhale,
Bring the hands down and place them palms up.
This is a gesture of being open to receive.
Receive your inner wisdom.
Notice the calm that you have created in this short period of time.
Now gently bring yourself back.
