Welcome to day three of Insight Timer's intention setting challenge.
Setting an intention is making a decision about who you want to be and how you choose to show up.
Over time,
Those choices become change.
Let's begin.
Hello,
I'm Stuart Sandeman,
Your breathing coach,
And today's session is all about remembering who you want to be.
Most of us carry a version of ourselves we're reaching towards,
A calmer version,
A kinder one,
A more confident,
Grounded,
Or energized one.
But life gets noisy,
We get reactive,
Stressed,
We get pulled off center,
And sometimes we forget that we have a choice,
A choice to return to that truer version of ourselves.
So to help that intention land,
Let's start with a short breathing exercise.
So get yourself comfy,
Close your eyes,
Relax into this moment.
I'd like you to imagine a pillar of light shining down,
A light that can cleanse you,
Guide you,
And bring you back to yourself,
Remembering who you want to be.
Let's move into a 4-4-8 breathing pattern to anchor that intention.
As you breathe in,
Breathe in that light,
Hold it,
Let it cleanse and clear,
And as you breathe out,
Release anything that's out of alignment with who you want to be.
So breathe in that light for 1,
2,
3,
4,
Hold,
2,
3,
4,
And breathe out,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7,
8.
Good,
In,
Breathe in that light,
Hold,
Circulate it,
And out,
Release anything that pulls you away from who you want to be.
In,
Breathe in that light,
Hold,
Let it move through you,
And out,
Clearing any stress,
Fear,
Or tension.
Two more rounds,
Breathe in the light,
Hold,
Let it circulate,
And breathe out,
Release.
Good,
One last one,
Breathe in.
Let your breath come back to a natural rhythm.
Notice how you feel,
And tune back into that pillar of light shining down,
And place your hands on your heart.
And in this calm,
Connected space you've created,
Ask your heart for one word that represents the you that you want to show up today.
One word that helps you remember who you want to be.
Maybe patience,
Bold,
Clear,
Calm.
Whatever feels like home in your body when you see it.
That feeling of yes,
That's the real me.
So sit here for a moment,
And let that land.
Now say your word quietly in your mind.
Feel it in your heart.
Let it guide you today.
And now slowly coming back into your space,
Wiggling your toes,
Your fingers,
Loosen your neck.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Thank you so much for breathing with me.
And anytime you lose direction today,
Remember who you want to be.
Simply come back to your breath,
And back to your word.
On the next screens,
You'll be invited to set this intention on your insight timer home screen.
I remember who I want to be.
Seeing your intention reflected back throughout the day is often all it takes to create real change.
Thanks again for being here.
I'm Stuart Sandeman.
Have the best day,
And I'll see you next time.
