Welcome to the practice of Yoga Nidra.

Allow gratitude to seep into your being now.

Gratitude for creating space for yourself to rest,

Connect to your inner awareness,

And witness your limitless potential of divine intelligence.

I invite you to take the shape we know best as Savasana.

Laying your back on the ground,

Mattress or mat,

Sink deeply into the support beneath you.

If your low back holds tension,

Placing a pillow or bolster beneath the backs of your thighs may support your comfort for the duration of today's practice.

Allow the wings of your shoulder blades to open and spread wide,

Creating space for the heart's unwinding.

Arms sink deeply into the groundedness below.

Palms land intuitively where your heart leads them.

There is no right or wrong here.

You are exactly as you are meant to be.

Allow the feet to ease into a place of letting go,

Gently falling outwards away from the center line of the body.

Feel the support beneath you,

Holding you,

Bringing your mind's eye to the center of the forehead.

Create softness here,

Fully letting any lingering tensions go.

Follow your breath's pathways of release,

Moving your awareness to the right cheek,

Softness,

Left cheek,

Softness.

Release the tongue from the roof of the upper palate and allow it to rest below.

Teeth unclenching,

Softness,

Softness of the shoulders,

The heart,

The hips sinking,

Unwinding of the muscles in the legs,

Ankles and feet.

Notice the temperature of the breath,

Awareness of the filling and emptying,

Full body softness.

Making any final adjustments now as we fully settle into stillness for the remainder of our practice.

Allow space for your inner voice to speak up,

Asking the question,

Who am I?

Who am I?

What is being said?

A reminder that this is not you,

Yet only a piece of you.

If the words are not in alignment with how you would like to speak about yourself or how you would like to speak to yourself,

Remember you have the choice to change the way and the words in which this voice says.

Awareness of the voice speaking inside of you.

Listen here through the eyes of divine love.

What does your heart long for you to know?

Remain soft,

Open as you learn the language of the soul.

As we bring forth the Sankalpa,

Our heart longs to know.

Our Sankalpa is our resolve,

Our I am statement of healing,

The song of our soul that is ready to be heard and planted.

Connect into your infinite intelligence here.

Perhaps the words sound something like,

I am chosen,

I am one,

I am safe,

I am connected,

I am loved,

I am worthy,

I am,

I am,

I am.

For you are all present in this moment.

All is.

Search within for your words.

You cannot do this wrong.

Stay open,

Stay open,

Stay open.

Listen.

Bring forth your I am statement now and repeat it to yourself in your mind three times.

I am,

I am,

I am.

Allow the vibration of your words to sink into the cells of your being.

Full exhale of the surrender.

Letting them go.

Knowing everything is already yours.

A reminder to yourself to hold awareness,

Observation,

And witness.

I will not fall asleep.

I am practicing yoga.

Nidra repeats in your mind.

As we move through rotation of consciousness,

Allow my voice to guide you as we map out the physical body,

Bringing forth the surrender,

The letting go.

Bring your awareness to your right hand thumb,

Right hand thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger.

Awareness of the spaces in between the fingers and the palm of the right hand.

In the back of the right hand,

The wrist,

Right elbow,

Top of the right shoulder,

Right collarbone,

The whole right side of the ribs,

The whole right side of the abdomen,

Right side of the pelvis,

Right hip,

Right upper leg,

Knee,

Lower leg,

Ankle,

The top of the right foot,

The sole of the right foot,

First toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

Fifth toe.

Hold awareness of the whole right side of the body.

The whole right side.

Shifting to the left hand thumb now.

Awareness of the left hand thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger.

The space is in between the fingers,

The palm of the left hand,

The back of the left hand,

The wrist,

Left elbow,

Top of the left shoulder,

Left collarbone,

The whole left side of the ribs,

The whole left side abdomen,

The whole left side of the pelvis,

Left hip,

Left upper leg,

Knee,

Lower leg,

Ankle,

The top of the left foot,

The sole of the left foot,

First toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

Fifth toe.

Awareness of the whole left side of the body,

The whole left side connected to the whole right side of the physical body,

Whole body connected,

Whole body awareness.

A reminder to yourself,

I will not fall asleep,

I am practicing yoga nidra.

Become aware that you are breathing,

Become aware of the breath moving through you.

Welcome the breath in like a familiar childhood friend,

Full embrace of the breath.

The remembering breath is always with you,

Moving through,

Alive,

Connection to breath,

Connection to you.

As you anchor,

Count backwards from 32 to 1,

It will sound something like this,

Inhale 32,

Exhale 32,

Inhale 31,

Exhale 31,

Inhale 30,

Exhale 30,

And so on.

On,

Continue the counting of breath from 32 to 1.

If you lose your place,

You must begin again at 32.

Awareness and counting,

Counting and awareness,

Fall into each breath.

Each breath mends you,

Each breath clears,

Your magic flows through you along the tails of your breath.

Counting of breath from 32 to 1,

Release the awareness of counting,

Release the counting of breath,

Let go of guardianship of the breath,

Allow it to move freely within you.

As we move on to implement the art of non-preference,

We now bring in the sensations of opposites.

Settle attention into the sensation of floating,

Calling all the weight to disappear from your body,

So light and free,

Imagine you are floating,

Body floating away from the ground beneath you,

Drifting up towards the sky above.

You are safe here,

I am safe,

I am safe,

I am safe,

Head is weightless,

Floating,

Chest is weightless,

Floating,

Hips floating,

Legs,

Feet floating,

Up,

Shift your attention to the sensation of heaviness,

Your body begins to feel so weighed down,

Down,

Down,

Down,

Sinking into the ground below,

Heavy head sinking,

Chest sinking,

Hips,

Legs,

Feet sinking down into dirt,

Sinking,

Sinking into the heaviness,

You are safe here,

I am safe,

I am safe,

I am safe,

Sinking into heaviness of the whole body,

Heaviness,

Shift back to the sensation of floating,

Lightness,

Full body floating,

Free floating,

Free floating,

Free floating,

Shift directly back to sinking,

Sinking into body heaviness,

Sinking into the ground,

Grounded,

Grounded sinking,

Shift right back to floating,

Floating,

Floating,

Sinking,

Back into sinking,

Sinking,

Dissolve the sensations of floating and sinking,

Land back into the heartbeat,

Land back into the breath of life,

Anchor into your childhood home,

You are visualizing your childhood home now,

Notice any colors around you,

Notice the impressions,

Feelings the room is showing you,

There you are as a child sitting in a room,

Meeting yourself there,

On the bed,

Chair,

Floor,

Wherever your inner child is,

Meet them there,

You search and find each other's eyes,

Gaze deeply,

Breathe deeply,

Notice the expression written on the face in front of you,

What weighs on their heart,

What burdens are rested upon the shoulders,

What words long to be said,

Listen to all that is being shown to you,

Be with,

Open,

Open,

Open,

Stay open,

Forgive,

Forgive,

Forgive,

Forgiveness is yours,

I love you,

I am sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

I love you,

I am sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

I love you,

I am sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

Embrace this child,

Hold them close,

Hearts connected,

Love,

Love,

Love,

Play with this child,

Limitless potential of play,

Play,

Laughter,

Play,

Visualize playing with this child,

Settle deeply into the joy of play,

Allow delight and contentment to shower over each of you,

It begins to rain joy from the skies above as you embrace farewell,

I love you,

I am sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

Feel your sankalpa return to your heart center,

Notice the vibration it radiates through you,

Mentally repeating your sankalpa three times,

I am,

I am,

I am,

Awareness back to the natural rhythm of your breath moving through you,

You are being breathed,

Sense an object in your awareness,

What is closest to you in this room,

What object is furthest away,

Inquire in your mind who is aware of this object,

Object,

Perhaps your response is I am,

I,

I,

Where is your I located,

Perhaps it comes from your heart,

From your soul,

Allow yourself to lean into where your answer comes from,

May you carry this with you today,

Awareness,

Awareness,

Awareness of the fingertips and toes,

Awareness back of your head,

Being supported so lovingly,

Awareness of the ground beneath you,

Awareness of the relaxation in the physical body,

Awareness of the mind,

Beginning to awaken,

Bringing movement into your fingertips and toes,

Into your hands and your feet,

If your physical body is asking for a full body stretch,

Full body stretch,

Reaching the arms up above the head,

Reaching the toes down,

Extended past,

Full body stretch,

Stretch,

With your eyes still remaining closed,

Coming on to your left or your right side,

Wherever your heart leads into fetal position,

Left or right side,

Notice earth lovingly hold you here,

The reminder that we are always supported,

Our practice of yoga nidra is now complete,
