Slowly enter into an easeful meditation position if you are not there already.
Please use everything you have available to find as much comfort as possible.
If you think of something you'd like to have with you but don't,
I encourage you to pause the meditation and go get it.
We mindfully use these few moments before our meditation practice begins to prepare the body and mind for what lays ahead.
So now attune the senses to your surroundings,
What you can hear,
What you can feel,
What you can sense.
Being aware of these things brings an attachment to the present,
No matter how fleeting,
And this allows us to release whatever is drawing us away from it.
Before we take this practice into the imagination today,
We're going to find a breath and sound that matches up with the experience.
This breath being Mujai,
The victorious breath,
Or as it's known by the sound it makes,
The oceanic breath.
By making a slight contraction at the back of your throat as you inhale and exhale through the nose,
The air passing through will sound almost like ocean waves or wind moving through the trees.
This pranayama practice has many benefits,
But mainly for our purpose today it helps build internal body heat,
Encourages a free flow of prana,
And enhances feelings of presence.
Take a moment to find Mujai,
Experience it,
And aim to maintain it for the rest of the meditation.
In your mind's eye,
Allow yourself to hear the rainfall before you see it.
The constant cadence of water falling outside provides a soothing rhythm to the soul,
A musical of nature that represents one of the cycles on our planet that brings life to all the living beings we share this world with.
If you could be anywhere in the world you want to truly enjoy the rain,
Where would you be?
Take yourself to this place.
What surrounds you?
Is there someone there with you,
Or is this something you wish to enjoy alone?
What feelings does your perfect place create within you?
This is your scenario,
And it can be whatever you need it to be in this moment,
But for the next little while,
This is where we will exist,
With the soothing sound of the rain and our own peaceful comfort.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
When it is time to move on,
Know I will be here to guide you back.
As the sound of the rain begins to fade,
And the images in your mind become another memory of your day,
Shift your awareness to the breath,
Let the sound of Ujjayi fade as well if you haven't already,
And allow the breath to regain its natural,
Rhythmic form.
If you know where to look,
Nature provides us with an abundance of things that can be used to find moments of peace among that which brings us unease.
You need only remember that they are there.
Thank you for being here.
I am truly grateful to be able to share this meditation with you.
Until next time,
And with love,
Namaste.
