It's so easy to kind of start your day on autopilot.
Maybe the first thing that you do is check your phone.
Or read the news.
Check social media but starting off your day with a simple intention can kind of reset your compass,
Remind you that not only are you a physical being,
But you're also a spiritual being.
And when you run from that foundation of being a spiritual being.
Being someone who lives with intention.
Not automaticity.
You might see the newness and something unexpected.
So again,
Sometimes we live on autopilot and we think everything is Groundhog Day.
So we.
.
.
And we kind of fall into that pattern.
Where we can't even open our eyes to see what's new going on.
So.
Let's start off with a rule.
That you can use every morning.
To reset.
To remind you.
That you are a spiritual being.
So let's listen to these words.
Today,
I begin living like a mystic.
Open.
Attentive.
Unencumbered.
I see the hidden threads binding all things together.
Beneath roots.
Connections beneath appearances.
A sacred web humming quietly beneath the world.
Nothing is ever truly lost.
What seems to vanish only transforms.
What seems finished.
Is always becoming.
Each moment births something.
Each breath also carries an ancient memory.
I walk the path of those who walked long before me.
Not only here but everywhere.
Human feet have touched the earth.
Reverence.
The world looks modern,
But the story is old.
We have forgotten how to listen to what has always been.
Revealed.
When I place my hands on the ground,
I feel them.
A countless lives.
The countless prayers,
The countless longings still vibrating through time.
Every sound.
Every gesture.
Every trembling intention is heard across past and future alike.
Nothing disappears from the hearing of God.
The whole of his existence is one folding symphony.
One great movement towards transformation.
I choose to listen to the divine conductor.
That sacred rhythm.
That deeper rhythm between chaos and confusion.
Even when life feels out of time,
I trust.
And that there is still a holy tempo.
Guiding the music.
I may be misunderstood.
Mystics often are.
But I walk anyway.
Lightly.
Attentively.
Unburdened.
Listening to what is hidden.
Waiting.
What is ready to be revealed.
So you can let these words sort of be infused in your heart and mind.
And you can listen to them over and over again maybe just to fight.
Word or phrase really resonated with you,
Take it with you.
Throughout the rest of your day.
And look around.
Look for something new.
Look for something that might be just experiencing that circle.
And live deeply within.
Just find that.
Mmm,
That.
Presents.
That fire.
Energy.
That clean,
Pure.
Sacred fire.
Let that breathe through you.
Let that guide your thoughts.
Guide your gestures.
Guide your words.
And guide your actions.
You are a mystic.
Let's live like one.
