Meditation Timer OnlineKara (she/her) is an AuDHD certified meditation teacher, artist, author, and poet who loves creating guided mediations that are supportive for neurodivergent folks and people who have experienced past hardships and traumas, who are looking for a gentler and more open space to explore meditation. Meditation is a broad practice that spans across so many different people, spiritual/religious systems, and cultures that it can feel overwhelming to know where to start. Kara's passion lies in meeting people wherever their hearts, minds, bodies and nervous systems are at, which means offering multiple paths, trauma-informed guidance and language, and trusting the wisdom of each person to find a practice that works for their individual self. Rooted in making meditation more accessible while still honoring their origins, Kara created Mosaic Heart Meditation while finding solace in meditation after being misdiagnosed with anxiety, depression, and finally discovering her neurodivergence and recontextualizing her life. She creates poetic guided meditations that delicately weave together personal experiences, enabling individuals to process things in their own time, space, and way that honors all facets of themselves. No performing. No striving. No forcing. Showing up and finding what brings each person stillness (even while stimming!) is the life-long practice of learning to be kind to ourselves.
