Happy birthday,
Beautiful soul.
Today is the day that you came into this world.
And the odds of you being born are one in four trillion or even more.
And to do that,
It means your ancestor survived,
Your parents met,
And your genetic material combined exactly the way it did at the precise moment it did.
And all the science points to the fact that those statistics make you a straight-up miracle.
And today,
I'm so grateful that you've joined me to celebrate what a miracle you are.
Before we begin this guided meditation with breathwork,
I ask that you take a moment to grab a journal and something to write with,
So that after the meditation,
You can have a recording of everything that comes clear to you.
So if you don't have that already,
Go ahead and press pause,
Grab what you need to capture the beauty of this moment.
Beautiful.
Now that you have everything you need,
Let's go ahead and make ourselves really comfortable in whatever position is best for you.
If you prefer to lie down,
Lie down.
If you prefer to sit,
Sit.
It's your birthday,
So here's where you've got to make some choices on what's going to feel the best for you in this moment.
Now,
Whatever you choose,
Go ahead and begin to feel yourself just feeling the safety and security of the physical space that you're in.
Take a moment to feel your feet,
Your toes.
If you happen to be sitting,
Start by simply feeling your pinky toe all the way up to the big toe and their connection with the floor.
Now start to work your way around that foot,
Feeling the connection through the sides and your heel.
Slowly work your way up your body.
Notice your calves,
Your knees,
Your upper thighs,
They happen to feel stiff or needing a little attention.
Go ahead and give them a light stretch or a little rub thanking them for all the ways they've served you.
Moving your way up through your belly,
Chest,
Your arms.
Notice if you want to shrug your shoulders,
Maybe move your wrists,
Making your way up through your neck and your head.
Go ahead and give yourself anything that your body is asking for you.
This is the first day of your next year.
Let's start by really giving our bodies the love and attention that they deserve.
All right.
Once you feel you have given your body all the stretches and rubs and love and attention that it's asking for,
Find yourself in stillness.
Perhaps you want to put your palms up in a place of receiving,
Do whatever feels best for you.
And today I'm going to be starting off with some breath work,
Getting you to move from your head into your heart so that you can reflect more intentionally on the year that passed and the year ahead to really find the wisdom and learn what gems your will take with you to make this next year of your life the most intentional yet.
We'll begin with a breathing pattern of seven counts in,
Hold for four counts,
Seven counts release.
Then you'll start again,
Seven,
Four,
Seven.
Please,
As always,
Listen to yourself.
If that feels like it's too long,
Then do whatever pace works best for you.
If it feels too short,
You can do the same.
This is all about listening to your needs and what's going to serve you best.
When we really spend time toning into our breath,
We can get more clarity on the wisdom we are seeking.
Together,
Let's take a deep breath in,
Exhale,
And begin.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Inhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7.
Hold 2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7.
Inhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7.
Hold 2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7.
Now continue with that pattern,
7,
4,
7,
Using your own internal voice.
Moving out of the head into the heart.
Really listening to what your body needs,
Giving yourself the freedom to explore.
And now continuing with this pattern to the best of your ability,
But turning off your internal counter.
We'll now begin to reflect on this incredible year of yours that just passed.
Bringing into your mind's eye,
What were your greatest milestones in this past year of being on this earth?
What were those moments you're the most proud of?
Perhaps even the moments that took the most courage.
What are the moments that made you grow,
Perhaps even forced you to evolve?
What are those experiences that led you to become the incredible soul who's here right now in this moment?
What values did you activate over the past year that gave you the greatest sense of alignment,
Purpose,
Passion,
And enthusiasm?
How can you really celebrate all of the incredible work,
The incredible growth,
The incredible being that you are?
How can you celebrate that today on this very special day of your birth?
And now as you look to the year ahead,
What are the pieces of wisdom,
Those gems,
Perhaps the ones that came from great joy or perhaps the ones that came from great pain?
Which of those gems do you choose to carry closely with you into this next year of your life?
How can you show up in integrity with yourself knowing you have this intention?
How might you celebrate the little wins along with the big ones,
Ensuring that you use each day to celebrate all the gifts you have to give and receive?
And what values might guide you there,
Continuing to give you that sense of alignment,
Purpose?
How will you go about living the best year of your life ahead?
And now taking your breath back to a normal cadence.
Place your hands on your heart.
Take another deep inhale in and release.
Ask your heart how you can best serve her in this next year around the sun.
And as we close this beautiful birthday meditation together,
I ask that when you choose to come back to open your eyes,
To be present in this moment,
That you record the pieces of wisdom that came to you that stuck.
What were the most important?
Not to try to remember every single answer,
But simply the ones that spoke the loudest.
Those are the expressions of your soul.
Those answers are the ones that want to live and dance and be free over this next year.
So honor them today.
Honor them within yourself.
Honor them with every breath you take,
Every celebration of life.
I thank you for joining me and I wish you the very happiest of birthdays.
Namaste.
