Hello,
A happy Thanksgiving to you and yes it is a day of Thanksgiving,
A day of gratitude.
And we will pick up on that thread for this meditation.
I'm Denzel.
Let's begin comfortably.
Sit down.
If you can't sit on the floor cross-legged,
Then you can sit on a chair.
But keep your feet apart and firmly on the floor.
Your back straight.
Your eyes closed.
And just breathe in nice and deep.
And slowly and gently breathe out,
Pushing your abdomen back towards your backbone.
And then breathe in again.
Breathe in and breathe out.
And breathe in nice and deep,
Taking in that life force,
Our breath of life.
Let's begin today with a vote of thanks to the universe for giving us the breath of life,
For giving us our life.
All of us today might be in different circumstances.
It's been a tough year.
But there's a lot even so to give thanks for.
Let's start by giving thanks for our lives,
For our bodies,
For who we are.
I love myself.
I accept myself.
I am in gratitude for myself.
Thankful for our bodies that they work in the way they are.
Thankful for our senses that they bring to us the world around us.
The sense of sight,
The sense of smell,
The sense of taste,
The sense of sound,
And the sense of touch.
Thank the universe for these senses that allow us to connect with the world around us.
Thank you,
Universe,
For all our senses.
Thank you for our bodies.
Thank you for good health.
Thank you for an active mind.
Thank you for bringing me to where I am.
I love myself wholly and completely.
And now let's step out into the world around us and thank everybody who's been a part of our lives,
Beginning with our parents,
Our families,
All the members of our family.
Take their names and thank them for being there in our lives.
Our friends,
Our employers,
Our colleagues,
All the people who have so far made a really important part of our lives.
Our teachers,
Everybody we have learned from.
We thank all of them today for bringing me to this moment,
This moment in time,
Which will never come again.
And therefore I thank the universe for this moment.
And now for the world that we live in,
Our environment,
For the home we grew up in,
That this home is protected,
That we have loving spaces in our lives,
That we have happy spaces in our lives,
That our workspace,
Our home space,
Our family space are all protected and happy.
For the earth and the abundance of the earth that comes to us every day in the form of food,
In the form of implements that we use for work,
Be it computers or iron or whatever you use as part of your day,
That all of that produce,
All of that fruit of the earth,
Thank the universe for it.
Thank the universe for bringing us the food that we eat and convert into our bodies.
Every day food is on our table,
Sometimes less,
Sometimes more,
But it's always there.
Thank you universe for giving us food for all the hands that go into making that food possible for us.
Thank you universe for the places that we go,
Be it work or study,
That they're built with love and that every day we enrich those places and that every day those places may be enriched by us and everybody who's in it.
Sacred spaces that we work in,
That we study in,
That we live in,
That all of them are blessed today.
Thank you universe for those spaces.
Thank you universe for our city,
The city I stay in,
My city,
That it brings me all the comforts of life,
All the comforts that I have.
It's a sacred space that people may learn to respect and love it and love the environment and love the world we stay in and love the city and protect it.
And for our countries,
Wherever we may be,
That peace may prevail,
That people may be thankful and in gratitude for everything that they've got.
Because if we are in gratitude,
We will love where we are.
Let's take a few moments to thank all the gifts that we have.
This universe might be a God form,
This universe might be the universe,
The potent power that guides,
Protects and runs,
Nurtures.
Thank you universe for everything that you have given me to bring me to this moment in my life.
Let's solely spend a few moments in contemplation,
In thankfulness and gratitude,
That we may build on this gratitude every day into our lives.
For where gratitude is,
Happiness follows.
And slowly let's return with gratitude to this time and space,
Having spent this time with ourselves,
Happy that we're here.
Let's rub our hands together,
Place it on our eyes and return thankful and happy.
Thank you for being with me in this meditation.
My name is Dens Lokarno.
Love and light to you always.
God bless you all.
