Today we're going to talk about being here.
Here we are.
I'm talking,

The truth is,
We're here.
There's something wonderfully simple about being here.
There's something profound about the experience of being here.
Our here-ness,
The here we are-ness.
I like to think of being here as being present.
There's a presence in being here.
We can feel it.
There's a feeling of,
I exist right now.
Something really pure and simple about that.
Right now,
Here I am.
Oftentimes the most profound things are the most simple.
And oftentimes those things are overlooked,
They go unnoticed because they're simple.
But I think the simplest things are essentially the most satisfying things.
That's sometimes why we need a reminder like this.
It's nice to remember,
Here I am.
I'm here.
Regardless of what's going on in your life in the moment,
You're here.
It's like an undercurrent feeling.
There's something very vital and vast and profound about being here.
Maybe you can feel it as I'm talking about it.
Your here-ness.
What does it feel like?
Is there a sense to it,
A sense of being here?
I like to think of being here,
The here-ness,
As life itself.
Here is life.
Life is very full.
Life itself is very full.
Life itself contains everything.
It contains our experience.
It contains us in the experience.
It supports us.
It gives us life so we can experience life itself.
And that's here.
That's what you are right now,
Being here.
You're being alive.
You're aliveness personified.
As long as you're alive,
You always have that.
As long as you're alive,
You're always here.
And the nice thing about being here is the past has a way of falling away.
And same with the ideas about the future.
Because there's a lot of comfort in being here.
And it's not that you have to shut out the past.
You have to stay on the shit.
Same with thoughts about the future.
It's like,
Oh,
I can't think about the past or the future.
In order to be here,
I have to not think of either of those.
Just focus on this.
But the interesting thing is,
Even if you're thinking about the past or you find yourself thinking about the future,
You're still here.
You can't get away from it.
So when you notice it like this,
When you notice your here-ness,
You can feel the comfort,
Perhaps,
That it provides.
Here-ness holds us in its loving hands.
Here-ness adores us as it illumines us,
As it lives us,
As we bask in being here.
So at any point during the day,
You might find yourself spontaneously thinking,
I'm here.
I exist.
I'm here.
I'm alive.
I'm here.
I like the gentle approach.
The gentle approach.
It's simpler.
It's not that,
Oh yeah,
You need to think about being here.
You need to remember.
You hear these words and then you let them go.
And they show up when they show up.
The reminder,
The remembrance.
I am here.
The great thing is,
Even if you don't remember,
Oh I'm here,
You're still here.
So,
