Hello,

My name is Cristiane Machado and I'm here to guide you into a moment of self-connection,

Self-knowledge,

And self-understanding.

We're going to start this journey by finding a comfortable position.

You can choose to lie down,

You can choose to sit up,

You can choose to sit on the chair,

Or maybe you might even be in your car at a parking lot or at a park and you choose to stay there.

In case that you are going to be lying down,

I invite you to connect with your highly intelligent and creative mind to visualize you sitting on the upward position,

Imagining your sits bones being grounded through this natural rooting system,

Connecting with the layers of the mother earth,

And feeling tall through the crown of your head.

The arms and hands will be restful on your knees or by your side.

Palms are facing up in sign of receptivity.

Closing your eyes is optional.

In case that you do feel safe closing your eyes,

I invite you to do so as that creates a sense of intimacy with yourself.

In case that the closing of your eyes is not comfortable,

Feel free to keep them open,

But find a focal point where you can keep your attention to.

We start this journey by taking a deep breath in through your lungs,

In through your chest,

And exhaling from the chest all the way into the bottom of your pelvic floor,

Gently squeezing the navel into your spine to squeeze all the old stale stagnant air out.

That gives the space for the next breath,

Bringing in fresh new oxygen,

And exhaling old,

Overused,

Transformed air out.

It is an inner magical alchemy that we do when we breathe consciously.

So use this pattern of breath,

Breathing in full,

Filling up with freshness,

Newness,

And exhaling all the used air out.

This might also symbolize a beautiful metaphor for bringing in possibilities,

New and different points of view about your life,

And exhaling anything that might prevent you from stepping into newness.

So the breath is this magic,

Unique,

And natural tool and gift that we all possess.

It is available 24-7 and completely free.

In case that you lost the breath,

Know that that's natural.

Don't judge,

Don't criticize.

Simply get back into that pattern of breath,

Breathing in fully,

Exhaling completely.

Our breath carries the potential to self-regulate our bodies.

The breath can regulate any state of anxiety,

Fear,

And discombobulation.

The breath,

When consciously,

Can bring our nervous system back into the parasympathetic state,

Which is the rest and digest state of mind.

That's where we want to live,

Not in the sympathetic,

Which is the fight-or-flight,

But that most of us live on.

Modern life made us breathe very shallowly,

And we definitely do not pay attention to our breath,

Right?

Who has the time for that?

Well,

You do,

And you are doing fantastic.

Breathe.

Celebrate this beautiful gift that you have been gifted with.

Whenever your mind wonders which is natural,

Take that as an opportunity to observe the thinking process.

Notice how most of the time,

The mind is set on tasks,

The to-do lists,

And at other times,

The mind is trying to solve old problems,

Old stories that did not go right,

Old relationships that end not in good terms,

And also,

The mind tends to go back to the past quite often.

The breath invites us to not only observe this thinking process,

But accept that we are doing that thinking,

And from that acceptance,

Take a new approach to reframe the thinking.

Breathe.

There is no right or wrong way to do this.

You are already doing fantastic by simply choosing to sit and stay with yourself.

In case that your body gets fidgety or uncomfortable,

Bring it back to the breath,

And you can even whisper to your mind,

Don't worry,

This is not going to last forever,

But for now,

I'm choosing to stay here.

Breathing.

Observing.

Staying present.

You can also notice the sounds around you.

Perhaps you can hear the sound of the water flowing in this nearby river.

Maybe you can even hear the birds chirping on the top of the trees.

Maybe you notice,

Through your sense of hearing,

The vibration of the air.

Breathe.

Open all of your senses to receive this moment.

This now is truly a gift to be alive,

No matter the situation that we live in.

It is memorable.

Your breath is the invitation for you to feel even more alive right here,

Right now.

And now you're gonna take the longest,

Fullest,

Most open breath you can take.

And exhale,

Release,

Let it go.

And we have arrived at the final destination of this meditation today.

I hope you have enjoyed yourself and the opportunity to be present with this amazing vessel that is your body and this divine gift that you are.

You can whisper thank you to yourself for taking the time and the energy to do so.

And I thank you profoundly.

I truly believe that the more we can connect with ourselves,

With capital S,

The more we become part of the solution of our humanity instead of its demise.

I am grateful for you.
