A one-minute meditation on the breathing. The purpose of such a short meditation is to show how we can bring meditative moments into our day, for example while standing in line at the supermarket, or while waiting for someone to answer the phone. In this way we can complement the longer sits we do as part of our daily practice, and bring more moments of mindfulness into our lives.

Just allowing the eyes to gently close and letting your awareness drop down into the body becoming more aware of the sensations of your breathing just allowing the breathing to flow naturally and if any thoughts arise just allowing them to gently pass as with kindness and patience you bring your attention back to the breathing again now beginning to notice once again sensations arising from the outside world and letting the eyes open

I love the short meditations! I will probably stick to five minutes because right when this ends I'm just getting into it but it's so nice to have the option of one minute for those crazy days when I'm short on time but want to keep up my practice.
