Now that your body has begun to relax and your breath has found its natural rhythm,
Bring your awareness gently to your heart space,
That quiet center within you that always knows the truth.
Take a moment here to set an intention for your practice today.
In Sanskrit,
This is called sankalp,
A heartfelt resolve,
A seed you plant deep within your consciousness.
Ask yourself softly,
What do I wish to cultivate through this practice?
Perhaps it is peace,
Perhaps clarity,
Perhaps emotional balance,
Or simply the ability to rest and receive.
There is no right or wrong intention,
Only what feels true to you in this moment.
Let your heart guide you.
When the intention arises,
Hold it gently in your awareness,
Feel it as a short,
Positive statement as if it is already true.
It may be something like,
I am at peace,
I am whole,
I am calm and grounded,
I trust the flow of life.
Repeat your intention silently to yourself three times,
With deep faith and a quiet smile in your heart.
Feel your intention settling deep within you,
Like a seed being planted in fertile soil.
It doesn't need to be foraged or analyzed,
Simply plant it and let it be.
It will naturally bloom.
Throughout this practice,
Your sankalp will continue to grow quietly,
Nourished by your awareness,
By your stillness,
And by your breath.
Now let go of the words,
Let go of even the thought,
Just feel the vibration of your intention resting within your heart,
And with that,
Gently allow your awareness to flow into the body once again,
As we begin the journey through relaxation and awareness.
