Remind yourself that it's okay.
You are doing the best you can.
When your thoughts threaten to ruin your relationships,
Say,
Hey,
I'm struggling.
When the darkness threatens,
Say,
It sucks pretty bad,
But this is the path I'm on right now.
When you are tempted to pull out the clobber narrative and start berating yourself and beating yourself up,
Think,
Is this how I would talk to a friend who is going through something like this?
The worse you feel,
The kinder you need to be to yourself.
You can choose which thoughts you pick up,
Which thoughts you feed.
Even though you can't see all the details,
Even though you don't know what direction they might take you in,
Trust that there are many more narratives in your future.
