Breathe in. Breathe out. Let your shoulders release away from your ears. Let your jaw relax. When it gets difficult, imagine you are traveling. You have a long journey ahead. You can pack everything you own, because who knows what is coming. Who knows what you might need. You can load yourself down. That is one way to travel. But then you have to lug that weight, everywhere you go. You have to struggle to carry the load. Or you can let go of the things that weigh you down.

Welcome to a hit of hope.

Feel your sitting bones ground.

Feel the crown of your head lift.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Let your shoulders release away from your ears.

Let your jaw relax.

When it gets difficult,

Imagine you are traveling.

You have a long journey ahead.

You can pack everything you own because who knows what's coming?

Who knows what you might need?

You can load up and load yourself down.

That is one way to travel.

But then you have to lug that weight everywhere you go.

You have to struggle to carry the load.

Or you can let go of the things that weigh you down.

Like fear or perfection or control.

Life will happen.

Things will happen.

You do not know what is coming.

Travel lightly.

Instead of preparing for every worst case scenario or waiting for life to change for the better or for the good to come again,

Can you imagine that right here and right now you are on an adventure?

Can you embrace all of the ups and downs?

The thrills and spills?

Can you imagine that every step you take is bringing you somewhere new?

Can you cross this bridge and then the next one?

It's so easy to focus on arriving.

When will I get there?

When will this be over?

It's far more interesting to live each day,

Even the hard ones,

With a sense of lightness and wonder.

You never know who you will meet.

You never know what's just around that curve in your path.

Namaste.

This wasn’t what I was searching for this morning, but I’m glad it found me. I am keeping it for when things get me down and sharing it with my friends who need more lightness 😍 — thank you. 🙏

Interesting timing for me to listen to this. I am preparing for a trip that involves a flight overseas and a labyrinth pilgrimage. Part of this involves the physical aspects of what can I leave behind and I am hoping to release some emotional things too. Many thanks for offering this.

a greater voice doesn't do as I'm waking up in the morning and to close the day even as I leave work and transition back to home I appreciate that visual of uploading into my backpack what I'd like to travel with and downloading taking things out of the backpack what I would like to not travel with fear control perfection. thank you teacher for putting this lovely meditation on insight timer.

Hope to be able to release some of the many things which slow and weigh me down on moving on. Thanks for bringing awareness on this topic. Many blessings to you!
