Are you tired of trying to hold it all together? Are you tired of trying to control what cannot be controlled? Things break. Life goes sideways. Sometimes, the only thing you can do is to endure. One good thing is that when the goal is simple endurance, you are not fighting to become something or earn a gold star. To endure is to sit in a chair. To endure is to take a drink of freshwater. Rocks endure. Friends endure. You. Will. Endure.

As you settle and ground,

Close your eyes.

Take a deep inhale.

Let it all go.

Welcome to a hit of hope.

Are you tired of trying to hold it all together?

Are you tired of trying to control what cannot be controlled?

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Things break.

Life goes sideways.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Sometimes there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

There isn't anything you can do to make it go away or to make it okay.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Sometimes the only thing you can do is to try and right size this.

Make it more manageable.

Sometimes the only thing you can do is to endure.

And when you are given a practice of endurance,

Let's be honest,

It's a bitch.

But one good thing is that when the goal is simple endurance,

You are not fighting to become something or earn a gold star.

To endure is to sit in a chair.

To endure is to take a drink of fresh water.

To endure is to breathe in.

Breathe out.

Simple stuff endures the best.

Rocks endure.

Friends endure.

You will endure.

You will endure as you walk through this dark.

You will endure tomorrow and the next day and the next.

You will endure until this begins to fade into memory.

And then you will not be who you once were.

You will be stronger,

Braver.

You will have badass battle scars that you can show off to anyone and everyone.

But until then,

No matter what happens,

Remember,

There is always time for a new story to take hold.

Namaste.

Thank you Betsy, I personally always try to do whatever is in my hands to make anything a bit better, but oh man, endurance is so crucial, and a huge part to survive to whatever its being thrown our way, so thank you for remembering us to live with whatever is, and know that we will make it, remembering us that sometime enduring is all what we can do and that this it is more than enough.

Having trouble enduring today. Dealing with some scary heart issues and a good-sized bout of food poisoning. Needed this. Thank you.

Oh so true. REST & ENDURE...vg advice which has taken me a while to learn. Thanks again for a voice of experience delivered in a way that made me smile. Book marked this earlier when I read the review from the man with an estranged wife. Events here, later in the day (totally unforseen) and "dam" scary๐Ÿ˜‰got handled better because of this and others I have listened to on this app. Thank you.

I've been suffering with severe anxiety and depression for years and over the past three or four it's completely gotten the best of me. My family has been there for me through every turn but, without realizing what my illness was doing to those around me, I was putting them through more pain that I could see. Recently it became too much for my wife to handle, so now not only do I feel like I'm fighting for my own survival everyday but I'm fighting for the possibility of showing her that I see how I was and I'm finally able to control it through medication and meditation and therapy and really hard work. So in addition to my daily struggle, I'm trying hold out hope she can see I'm now capable of control and genuine happiness. Being able to stay with the person I love more than anything in the world who I've hurt more than I ever knew. Endure? That's the only thing I can do. And so this meditation is the kick in the pants I needed today, tomorrow, and probably every day for the foreseeable.
