People have asked me for a really short sitting for those days that are so busy,

And I think that's lovely so let's start.

Settle in,

Really let your body come to rest.

Close your eyes and take your time to feel that.

Make any adjustments to your seat that you need so that your feet can really rest,

And you can feel your torso and your back well supported.

Again,

Taking your time to let yourself feel all these sensations,

The sensations of your body as your feet rest on the earth,

As your body rests on the cushion.

Let that arrive.

As your body rests,

Feel your breath settling.

And as these settlements happen,

Feel your mind and your heart settling as well.

In response to this settling to this rest.

Put your attention on where you can feel your breath,

Most comfortably and most clearly that they come to you.

It may be one spot,

Perhaps deep in your torso,

Perhaps below your nose,

Perhaps your whole body.

See what's clear and comfortable to you right now.

And just press your attention there.

You're knowing and you're resting.

And there's nothing more that you need to do right now.

The practice does the work.

As you know your breath as you rest.

One minute.

Let the edges of your body soften.

Let everything settle so that there's as much room for knowing and resting and kindness as you'll ever find you need.

Rest,

Settle,

Soften.

Rest,

Settle,

Soften.

Rest,

Settle,

Soften.

I want you to rest and take this in this dedication of merit,

Sharing the benefits of your practice.

See how you feel with this time of settling with this time together.

Let that come to you.

Let yourself feel the wish that you can feel in some way cared for and supported.

This can lead to ease and clarity and warmth apart.

To feel and send the wish,

This sense of warmth and caring of support and ease can come to all beings,

Wherever they are,

Wherever they are.

Let yourself feel this kind wish,

This wish for all beings to know ease and freedom and peace.

Thank you for your practice,

Thank you for this time together.
