Settle in and make yourself comfortable.

Let your breathing arrive along with your body,

Your heart and your mind.

Take your time and feel this process as it happens.

Let your eyes close so that you can feel these changes in your body,

In your mind as you settle.

Start by feeling your feet as they rest on the floor.

Feeling all the sensations that come.

Letting yourself rest,

Letting yourself receive those sensations.

Letting yourself be struck by the amazing development,

How our body matches the floor,

How we can feel this.

As you sit upright,

Feel your breath fall through your torso.

Take your time,

Come to a relaxed breath.

So you again,

You're at once resting,

But feeling this marvel as well,

That we breathe,

That we're upright.

So you're resting,

You're taking in these perceptions,

Letting them come to you,

However they are right now.

And you're letting yourself really enjoy this time of peace and of perception.

Now put your attention on your breath wherever it feels most comfortable and clear.

So it may be at the base of your nose,

It may be in your belly.

You'll see what's true for you right now today.

So with your attention resting on your breath,

Feel how it changes.

Feel how there's really not much that you need to try and do.

Your body really knows this.

Your body does it for you.

So rest and take in the perception of your changing breath.

Be with this phenomenon of its continuity,

But of its change.

And let yourself rest as it changes.

You don't need to do much.

Just let yourself feel it.

The changes might be quite consistent.

We might find that things are really varying.

Just see for you what's true now.

Enjoying this change and resting.

The world is always changing and our lives are always changing.

And this is a way to find how you can be with change and you can also be quite restful.

See how that presents itself for you right now.

There's another aspect about your body drawing in your breath.

And it has to do with our relationship.

We're not independent of this world.

We're very much seated in it.

And in this case,

As we breathe,

The match is really easy.

Let yourself feel that.

Let yourself feel the context in which you live.

Just in terms of physically feeling your breath as it comes in and goes out again.

Know this relationship.

Enjoy it.

Allow this perfect match.

Your breath comes in as it's needed.

It's sent out as it's needed.

You know it and you just rest.

And we started with the notion of attending to your breath of attending to this match.

And just naturally,

Your attention will go and you won't know that you're breathing.

You won't know that you're sitting.

And then all of a sudden,

You will know again.

And when your awareness returns,

When your attention lands again,

Just greet this with a real kindness,

With real happiness.

Wherever your attention lands,

It's equally good.

Let yourself feel the happiness of that moment.

And then choose to come back to your breath because it's such a simple object.

And it will show you continuity.

It will show you connection with the world.

So when you're ready,

Return your attention again to where your breath is most comfortable and clear.

And let your attention rest there.

And your attention returns.

And it worked.

And this was an occasion for happiness.

So in the same way that wherever your attention lands,

It grows.

Wherever there is an occasion for happiness,

It grows as well.

And let yourself feel that.

The happiness of your attention returning,

The happiness of this time together,

Of the peace of sitting.

Whatever is the happiness that you can feel right now,

Even if it's a glimmer,

Let that come to you and just rest there.

So with the support of this happiness,

This warmth of heart,

Let that support your awareness.

Returning your awareness to your breath,

Resting,

Feeling it,

Taking it in.

And we'll finish these few minutes together.

The support of your heart as your awareness rests on your breath.

And may you share this happiness.

May you bring this awareness to your own actions and to your interactions with others,

Again,

Supported by your heart.

Until we see each other and sit again together.

But please,

If you have more time,

Feel free to continue sitting.
