Bless This Food is a mindful moment of gratitude that invites you to slow down and honor the nourishment before you. Through a calming breath and gentle visualization, you connect heart to plate—appreciating not only the food itself, but the many hands and energies that brought it to you. This simple practice supports digestive ease, presence, and a deeper relationship with what sustains you. Enjoy your next meal with awareness, appreciation, and a sense of sacred nourishment.

Hi,

This is Barbara Botellotti of Be Alive and Well,

And today's meditation is Bless This Food.

Part of good digestive health,

Mindfulness,

And practicing daily gratitude is acknowledging the food and beverages that you nourish your body with.

Regardless of your religious or spiritual belief,

This is something you may want to incorporate into your life if you haven't already.

So right now,

Take a nice deep breath,

And fall still.

Close your eyes if it's safe to do so.

And now visualize what your next meal will be.

Maybe it's planned,

Or perhaps you get to decide right now what that meal will be.

Envision where you will be eating it,

And see yourself just giving this meal some appreciation.

Imagine taking a deep breath as you look at this plate of nourishment,

And sending gratitude from your heart to that food.

Appreciate not only the food itself,

But all the people that got it to you,

From the farmers,

To the market,

To the person who prepared it.

Maybe even appreciate yourself for choosing something that is healthful and delicious.

Enjoy your next meal with more awareness and appreciation.

This is Barbara Botellotti with your Meditation Minute.

Bon Appetit!
