This guided meditation is for inner peace and relaxation. In just 5 minutes, this guided breathwork meditation will send signals to your nervous system of relaxation and help lessen stress and anxiety. Our intention for this guided meditation is to find inner peace within and realize by just taking 5 minutes out of our day to breathe and be mindful, we can reap many rewards.

Welcome to your five minute meditation for peace,

Healing and balance.

We'll begin in a comfortable seated position,

Either on the ground with your knees crossed or on a chair with your feet firmly planted on the ground.

When you are ready,

Gently close your eyes.

Inhale and exhale.

Allow all of your awareness to be on your breath right now.

With each inhalation and exhalation,

Allow yourself to become more relaxed,

More comfortable,

More at peace.

Inhaling for four seconds,

Holding for two and exhaling for six.

This breathing exercise slows your heart rate,

Helps you let go of outside distractions and increases your focus.

Inhale,

Hold and exhale.

Inhale,

Hold and exhale.

The experience of focusing on your breathing is witnessing a passing sensation.

As the sensation arrives,

You experience it and you let it go.

You can observe your breath and experience it,

But you cannot hold onto it.

For if you try to hold onto it,

You will suffocate.

This is the true nature of all experiences.

When we hold onto them,

We suffocate.

It's when we let go that we find true freedom and inner peace.

Imagine a healing white light shining brightly around you.

And each time you inhale,

You're inhaling this healing white light of peace and serenity.

Watch as it surrounds your entire being.

Inhaling the fresh,

Vibrant new light.

Exhaling the old air with worries,

Stresses and fears.

Exhaling the new,

Exhaling the old.

Guide the white light from the crown of your head through each part of your body.

Down your neck,

Your shoulders,

Down your arms,

Your chest and hips.

Down through your thighs,

Knees,

Calves and your feet.

Allow the white light to purify each element and cell in your body.

Let the light's warmth expand through you.

Allow the light to outshine any negativity or things that no longer serve you.

Let them go.

Push them into the radiant white light and watch as they dissolve into nothing.

Welcome the growing lightness in your body as the white light purifies and expels the darkness within you.

And in your own time,

Slowly bring your awareness back to where you are.

And when you are ready,

You can slowly open your eyes.

As you move through the rest of your day today,

Remember this white light is always within you.

Have a beautiful rest of your day.

Keep growing and keep loving.
