Welcome to this Nervous System Reset Meditation where I will guide you through breath,
Gentle movement to help relax the body and the mind I invite you to find a comfortable shape lying down or seated and as you get into this shape take a moment to notice any sounds around you can keep the eyes open and gaze around the room taking in the sights take a second to tune into the body noticing if the nervous system feels activated maybe your body feels anxious or buzzy or ready to flee or fight and I invite you to use gentle movement in the body circling the ankles and the wrists perhaps shaking out the hands or the feet or the arms getting rid of some of that extra energy if you're feeling angry you might decide to clench the fists nice and tight and then let them go if you're feeling anxious you might decide to swing your arms like you're running shake the arms again getting rid of excess energy and when you feel like your body is ready for stillness I invite you to bring yourself into that stillness take a moment to feel your back on the chair or on the surface that you're on feel your feet touching the ground try and sink deeper into this relaxation relaxing the forehead the jaw moving the tongue away from the roof of the mouth I invite you to take a nice deep inhale here through the nose let it go take a nice deep breath in through the nose again then another inhale through the nose and let it go through the mouth and then another inhale through the mouth once more breathing in and then again and then letting it go placing one hand on the heart and one on the chest now tuning inward to the breath feeling your breath through the body as you inhale and exhale gently sitting here with your breath knowing that you are okay in this moment your breath is here to support you and slowly bringing yourself back to the present moment if you have closed your eyes you can open them and gently gaze around the room noticing the sights hearing the sounds heading into the rest of your day with this reset on your nervous system
