Breathe in.
Feel the air expand through your lungs,
Your rib cage,
Your stomach.
Breathe out,
Noticing the breath slowly leave the body.
Sit with your breath for a moment,
Breathing in and out,
Focusing on the sensation of the breath in the body.
Take a moment to note any which way you do not feel deserving today.
Maybe you don't feel deserving of love or compassion,
Of the job you want,
The relationship you want,
The life you want.
Sit with this feeling as you breathe.
Allow yourself to feel any emotion that arises,
Any image of yourself that comes up.
I am here to tell you that you are deserving,
Regardless of what you did today.
If all you did was lie in bed,
You are deserving.
If you managed to make it to the couch and eat a meal,
You are deserving.
If you said no to everyone else to take care of yourself,
You are deserving.
If you took care of everyone else and forgot about yourself,
You are deserving.
If you are broke,
If you are fat,
If you are frail,
If you are uneducated,
You are deserving.
Because these things are not who you are.
You are your kindness,
Your courage,
Your hard work,
Your resilience,
Your love.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in your kindness,
Love,
Resilience,
Compassion.
Breathe out your pain,
Anxiety,
And fear.
I promise there is a part inside of you,
Your authentic self,
That is so deserving of everything you dream of.
Sit and breathe with this part of yourself.
Remind it of its deservingness.
