So go ahead and find the meditation posture.
Push the crown of the head up towards the ceiling.
Are settling in.
Good.
Now,
Take a deep,
Deep breath.
And exhale.
One more time,
Super deep breath in.
And exhale.
And then one last time,
Super deep breath in.
And exhale.
All right,
Now get a sense of where the body is in space.
Notice how you're seated in your chair and what that feels like.
A sense for the room in front of you and where your body is relative to the room in front of you.
Get a sense for the room behind you and where the body is relative to the room behind you.
Good.
And now come into the dantian or the hara.
So that is that place right above the pelvis.
Kind of in the center of the body.
Below and behind the navel.
Good,
And now.
.
.
Orient from that place.
Notice what is above that point,
Below,
In front of,
Behind,
And so forth.
But right now,
Now bring your attention.
To the shoulders and upper back.
Back of the neck.
And just passively.
Allow for those areas to relax.
No need to put any effort into it.
A good.
Now.
Now bring up this sense of confusion,
Not knowing what to do.
And notice first the tensions across the forehead.
Around the eyes and maybe at the base of the skull.
That come up as you bring up this sense of confusion.
Now,
Deepen into those tensions,
Feel into those tensions.
Across the brow,
Around the eyes,
And at the base of the skull.
It could.
And now,
Just open up to any sensory experiences,
Tensions,
And so forth in the body.
And here,
We're looking mainly for shock.
Again,
So shock.
Sensations of shock that are kind of downstream from this sense of confusion.
And here you're just being in the body,
Just feeling,
Not thinking.
Feel like you get distracted or lost,
Just go back to the tensions across the brow,
Around the eyes,
And at the base of the skull.
And then drop back into the bodily sensations.
Good night.
Us being with it,
Just paying attention to what's coming up in the body.
That's right.
With it just feeling into the body.
And if you get lost or kind of confused or you lose the thread,
Just go back up to the tensions across the forehead,
Around the eyes,
At the base of the skull,
Sink into those,
And that will bring you back into the sensations of shock in the body.
That's right.
Just being with it just the best you can.
All right,
Now we're gonna overlay some structure over the meditation.
Start in a sense weaving in the cognitive and the emotional.
So now bring to mind a moment where this sense of confusion really hits you a scene And now being really present in the body,
Noticing what comes up.
Now reflect on.
In this scene,
How do you view self?
What are the beliefs about self that arise in this scene that brings about confusion?
Think about that,
And then feel into the body.
Now in this scene where you feel confusion.
How do you view the other?
What is your sense of the other?
And then notice what comes up in the body.
Now in this scene where confusion comes up.
What is it that you wanted in that scene?
What was your desire at the time?
And then just feel into that.
Now,
How did the other.
.
.
React or respond to your desire,
To what you wanted.
And now notice that and then feel into the body and see what comes up.
Good,
All right now.
Now have the perfect nurturer,
So these ideal parent type figures,
So like an ideal parent,
Come into the scene,
Remove you from the scene,
And take you to somewhere totally safe.
And they give you the sense of being contained.
Held.
Now,
If you like,
You can give voice to whatever's coming up for you,
To the Perfect Nurture,
And let them know how you feel,
What's coming up,
And so forth.
And as you do this,
Really stay in the body,
Feeling into the body.
Just give voice to whatever feels unfinished,
Having the perfect nurture.
Really be there with you,
Understand you,
Comfort you.
And just being present to everything.
Is coming up somatic,
Emotional,
Or cognitive.
That's right.
Keep going.
But here shortly,
We'll start moving towards the close.
There's a few more steps.
So go ahead and Dissolve the content of the meditation.
Stay in the meditation and take a moment to reflect on what this was like.
There were any insights,
If there's something about the sense of self that changed.
So what the body feels like,
If there's a greater sense of integration,
Take a moment with that.
Hmm.
All right,
Now.
Now look back at.
.
.
The meditation,
Especially look back at the situation that brought about this sense of confusion that we've started with.
I want you to get the sense that this kind of experience is not uncommon.
I want you to kind of feel into the shared humanity.
Just that these difficulties are not too strange,
That others go through this as well.
This is not to minimize any suffering around it,
But to see how almost there's a sense of communion with the whole human race around this experience of confusion.
Take a moment to reflect on that.
Good.
All right,
And now let's begin looking back at the meditation.
Reflecting on any insights.
Any shift.
And now,
See your real adult life unfold before you.
Letting yourself take these insights with you and the positive results of these insights in your real adult life going forward.
Ain't good.
Making a deep impression of that.
All right,
I'll count from five to one.
When I get to one,
You'll be awake and present in the room.
Settled in the experience five four three two one awake and present in the room settled in the experience
