Welcome to this guided meditation on breaking free from intrusive thoughts.
My name is Joy Brown and I will be leading you through this meditation.
To begin,
Take a seat or lay down,
Get yourself comfortable,
And when you're ready,
Close
your eyes.
Let's take some deep breaths in,
Filling our chest full of air,
Holding for three seconds
at the top,
And then exhaling out in a large sigh.
Let your breathing return to normal now.
In your mind's eye,
Picture yourself standing in an empty room.
In the middle of this room is a mirror.
When you are ready,
Look into this mirror and see the core of those intrusive thoughts.
Hold no judgment or try to guess what you will see.
Just be open.
Ask or sense what is the real reason for these thoughts.
Explain how they make you feel and be honest.
Tell the core of these thoughts that they no longer serve you.
Perhaps they are trying to keep you safe,
To remind you of pain you still hold on to,
But either way,
It's your desire that they stop.
Hold out your hand to let the core of your intrusive thoughts come through the mirror
and into the room with you.
Let them know that you are releasing them,
That you are free from you now.
Now visualize you in your daily life,
Going through your routine,
But this time with no
intrusive thoughts.
Notice all the small changes in how you feel with no intrusive thoughts.
Feel the happiness,
The freedom.
Let yourself accept that this is possible for you and you are worthy of living a daily
life without intrusive thoughts.
Let all of this sink into your heart space.
Give gratitude for all that you have done here.
Bring your awareness back to your body,
To your breath.
Slowly begin to move and open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me today in this guided meditation on breaking free from intrusive
thoughts.
Blessings to you.
