This is brief meditation for immediate relief from difficult emotions. Often we push against painful experiences and in doing so we keep ourselves trapped in them. By acknowledging whatever is arising with love and acceptance we allow the emotion space to move through us.

Let the profound wisdom of this statement sink into every cell of your body.

This too shall pass.

Now remind yourself that you do indeed have the capacity to be with anything that arises.

And now take a deep breath and greet what's there like you would greet someone coming to your house.

Some gentleness,

Some kindness.

Hmm,

I see you there.

Hello,

Welcome.

Come in for a moment.

And take another deep breath.

Whatever emotion you're experiencing,

It's temporary.

Like all experiences,

It arises and will naturally pass away.

So greet it with as much kindness as you can muster and give it a chance to roll through.

Take another deep breath.

Feel the way it washes over you.

The way the emotion or the experience moves through your body.

What's the impact of this feeling?

What's it doing to your physical experience?

Is there tightness in your chest or shortness of breath?

Or maybe you feel it like a warm rush of heat through the body.

Tingling in the fingers,

Shakiness in the legs,

Mind racing,

Heart beating,

Chest clenching,

Legs tightening.

Whatever it is,

See if you can open more and more with each breath and let it move through.

I see you there.

I see you there guilt,

Shame,

Grief,

Sadness,

Whatever it is.

Fear,

Judgment.

Just let it roll right through like a wave that rises from the ocean surface and crashes back down.

So too will this experience,

This emotion rise up and fade away.

How long will it last?

Be curious and see.

And resist the urge to push against it or try to make it go away.

And just keep standing in the wisdom that like everything else,

It'll pass away.

And take another deep breath.

And continue to let it roll right through.

The Universe knows exactly what I need. I was credit card scammed for about $25 thousand. I have no idea how they got to me I spoke with one friend and saw how my spirit and energy could not be destroyed THEN tonight there you were. Thank you for speaking such truth with compassion. This too shall pass. Light and love to you.

My father always said this to shall pass mostly when I was throwing a tantrum about something I didnโ€™t get. I could not stand him when he said that. Now 50 years later I know it is true. Thank you
