Good health starts with the breath, at least that's what Buddha tells us. Spend a few moments discovering your breath & letting your thoughts come and go. It's not about controlling your thoughts or breath, it's about allowing them to be, as they are. At this moment.

To enjoy good health,

To bring true happiness to one's family,

To bring peace to all,

One must first discipline and control one's own mind.

If a man can control his mind,

He can find the way to enlightenment,

And all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.

Buddha Find a comfortable seat on the floor.

You can sit,

You can lay down,

Whatever is comfortable for you.

I want you to start focusing on your breathing.

With every inhale,

Your stomach will rise,

And with every exhale,

Your stomach will fall.

All you have to do right now is focus on your breath.

Release any tension you have between your eyebrows,

Remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth,

And drop the tension in your shoulders.

If you have thoughts coming up,

I want you to thank those thoughts for the reminder and tell them you will get back to them later,

After you're done spending a few moments for yourself.

It's quite selfless to show up for yourself daily,

Weekly.

Spending time focusing on your breath and giving yourself space to be with as little thoughts as possible.

We're never going to completely stop thinking.

We don't want that.

But we want to change our focus from our thoughts and shift our focus to our breath.

So just breathe.

I love sitting in silence.

I love moments where I can shut off my mind and just be present.

Some days are always going to be harder than other days.

And that's why we call this a practice.

Every time we show up,

We are practicing.

It's not a race.

There isn't a trophy or a prize or an award.

If you think in those terms,

Then I guess the prize would be a connection to your true self,

Your inner being.

Allow your inhales and your exhales to be natural to you.

Don't rush anything.

Take up your space.

You deserve to take up space.

Whenever thoughts come that aren't good or seem negative,

You have the choice of whether or not to feed the flame of that thought.

You can simply say,

No,

Thank you.

Not today.

I choose to breathe and focus on that instead.

Take a few more breaths by yourself in these final moments.

I want you to let a smile come across your face.

Enjoy these moments.

Enjoy breathing.

Enjoy the inhale and the exhale.

When you choose to smile and laugh often,

You tap into positive emotions.

And you can decide to do that every single day.

It's all up to you.

We're going to start to find some movement in our bodies and get back to the day.

Just giving yourself these few moments that we had together will change your life over time.

Don't forget it's a practice.

Show up when you can,

For however long you can,

And just focus on your breath.

You can open your eyes whenever you're ready and continue on into this beautiful thing that we call life.

Thank you so much for showing up for yourself today.
