So you might like to begin by noticing what you're seated on or lying on,
Letting your body feel supported by that and remembering how whatever you are seated or lying on is itself being supported by the entire earth.
So you might invite your body to settle even a little bit more into the arms of the earth.
And you might notice already there are thoughts coming,
Feelings coming,
Maybe there are sounds where you are.
You might just notice the quality of your insides right now.
Is it like a tornado in there?
Is it like Grand Central Station?
Is it just a periodic thought arising like a blue sky with clouds passing?
Is it static-y radio station?
So just noticing what your insides are like in this moment.
And you might just see if there's any judgment about your insides,
Like,
Oh,
I shouldn't be like this.
And if you can,
Just embracing all of it,
Whatever it's like,
Whatever judgments are there,
Just all of who you are in this moment.
It's all wonderful.
You might imagine just giving your whole being a big hug.
Oh,
Sweetie.
This is what it's like right now.
And you might see if in all of that you can discover your in-breath and your out-breath.
See if you can discover the movement of your belly as you breathe in and out.
And each time that you become distracted by all the other stuff happening in there,
You might just smile and bring your attention back to your breathing,
Inhaling and exhaling.
For these next moments,
You don't need to think about any of those other things or do any of the things on our list.
This is an opportunity to rest on the inhale and the exhale.
