
Bathed In Moonlight: A Super Full Moon Meditation
This recording captures a live Super Full Moon meditation I hosted on Insight Timer. Before you begin, you may wish to light a candle; a small ritual to mark your transition into stillness. We open by chanting Oṃ three times. Feel free to remain seated for this part, and then lie down if that feels more comfortable. A Super Full Moon carries a strong, amplified energy. With the moon closer to Earth, many people feel heightened emotion, intuition, and clarity. It’s a moment that naturally supports release, reflection, and opening to insight. During the live session, participants described deep emotional shifts, and a renewed sense of space within. May this meditation guide you into that same powerful lunar energy.

Please find a good position,
Your favorite meditation position.
Maybe you want to lie down,
Or maybe you prefer to sit.
It doesn't matter,
Whatever works best for you,
That's most important right now.
And perhaps you want to move a little bit,
Connect your body to whatever it is you're lying on or sitting on.
And try to tune in to your body,
And as you know I usually start with taking a few deep breaths.
So breathe in deeply,
All the way to your belly,
And let go again.
And one more time,
Breathe in deeply,
And let go again.
And one more time,
Breathe in,
And hold your breath for a moment,
And let go again.
And you can really try to sink a little bit,
Like let go,
And become very aware of this situation,
The fact that we're going to meditate upon this very special full moon,
The biggest,
The brightest full moon of this year.
And full moons usually tend to bring heightened emotions,
Sometimes impulsive behavior,
And sometimes it leads to some drama.
And this one's extra strength invites us to pay extra attention this evening,
And of course in other parts of the world it might be morning or afternoon,
But here in Europe,
Holland,
It's evening right now.
And in Sanskrit a full moon is called Purnima,
And this full moon is celebrated as Kartik Purnima,
And it is one of the most sacred full moons in the Hindu calendar.
And on this day the moon's energy reaches its peak,
And it's all about purifying the mind and elevating the soul.
And according to the ancient scriptures,
Performing full moon rituals on this day,
It will bring immense spiritual benefit,
And that equals to performing thousands of good deeds.
So let that sink in for a moment.
If you do a ritual today or a meditation like this,
It is equal to performing thousands of good deeds.
So it is really a special full moon.
So that's why I said before the meditation it's always good to light a little candle,
And that is actually already a small ritual for yourself.
And another good thing to do,
Another sort of ritual,
Is Aum chanting or chanting a mantra.
And I would like to start the meditation today with that.
So even when you're lying down,
You can keep lying down,
Just join me,
Don't have to look,
You just have to focus on the vibration,
The sounds within your own body.
And we're going to do it three times,
And I will do it one time as an example.
And we're going to do it in the way which I once learned from my teacher,
Swami.
So normally people would do Aum,
But we are going to do the Aum,
And those are the first sounds on the planet,
And from these basic sounds,
All languages have emerged.
So it is also very special and sacred.
So I will do it one time,
And you can just listen and let the energy work on you,
And then you can join me for three times,
Yeah?
Okay,
So you take a deep breath.
So this is the way we're going to do it.
So if you want to just listen,
That's also possible,
But I encourage you to join me,
And afterwards,
Just really feel what this has done for you.
So let's do it together now.
Take another deep breath in.
And the final time.
To sense the effects in your body,
In your fields.
This helps to channel the full moon's energy,
And it awakens inner peace.
And perhaps you can already sense that,
Perhaps subtle,
Perhaps already a bit more,
And perhaps you have felt the energy of the full moon today,
Or the previous days,
And so I invite you to really feel this right now.
So bring your awareness to your body,
And perhaps you sense this sort of extra stress,
This emotions,
Fear,
Anxiety,
And what is a wise thing to do is to first really embrace it,
And sit with it,
Feel it.
And the best thing to do is to use the breath.
So just focus on your breath right now,
And you feel this built up tension in your body,
But breathe through it.
So breathe in deeply,
And breathe out,
And one more time,
Breathe in,
And breathe out,
And we're all in the same boat,
Everybody is experiencing more or less something similar.
The full moon,
In the end,
Affects all of us,
And it might also explain now a little bit to you if you weren't really aware,
Like what you were feeling the past days,
Or especially today perhaps,
And just sit with it,
Be with it.
And like I said in the beginning,
This is a super full moon,
Which means that the moon is really a lot closer to the earth,
And therefore the energy is really much more strong.
But first feel the anxiety perhaps,
The stress within your system,
The adrenaline or high cortisol levels,
Everything is a bit more high at this moment in your body.
And just first become aware of it.
And perhaps it's difficult to distinguish like what emotion is more present within you at this moment,
And maybe after some time this will become more clear,
But first breathe a little bit,
And calm yourself down.
Then really start to visualize again some roots coming from your hands,
From your root chakra,
From your feet,
And visualize these roots going into mother earth,
And these roots go deeper and deeper and deeper into mother earth.
And this is again to give you some stability,
And just visualize it how these roots go very very deep into mother earth,
And as we are with a big group,
With people from all over the world today,
Let our roots connect with each other,
And let's form again a beautiful network of our roots,
Which give each other strength.
So what you can do now is breathe in,
And take some of this energy of the earth and some of the love of everybody meditating right now.
Take this in through your roots towards your body,
So breathe in,
And take upon this beautiful energy from mother earth,
And let it go all the way up to your body,
And let it fuel your body.
And let's go again,
And another deep breath in,
Fuel yourself,
Charge yourself with this energy from mother earth,
And some of the love from everybody participating right now.
We are all living human beings,
We all are energetic beings,
Let me put it that way,
So even our roots are full of our energy,
And we can share this with each other.
And this is how we can become stronger,
And how we can support each other,
And let us prepare ourselves for the transition,
Slowly from the autumn towards the winter,
Let us prepare our energy lines within our different bodies,
Because it's slowly getting to this time of the year to turn more inwards,
And the time of reflection is starting to begin,
And the connection with the earth has now been established,
And you can let go,
And just go for one moment now to your crown chakra,
On the top of your head,
And just pause there for a moment,
And it's like we're preparing for the connection with the moon,
With the cosmic universe,
Then go towards your third eye chakra,
In the middle of your forehead,
And just sense this area,
You don't have to do anything special,
And then go towards your throat chakra,
And it might be that you feel something more in one chakra or the other,
And perhaps this also will become clear to you why that is during this meditation,
And then you go down a little bit more,
And you go towards your heart chakra,
And perhaps you feel already some sensations within your heart,
And for me it feels actually the love which you are all reflecting,
We already made a connection through our roots,
And we can already also create a connection with our hearts,
So all you need to do is push a little bit from your heart,
And send some of this energy,
Your love,
To all the people who are meditating right now,
Perhaps you can already receive and sense the love from everybody else,
It's like we're creating our own safe network,
And then you go down a little bit more towards your solar plexus,
Your inner compass,
Also a very important chakra,
Inner guidance within yourself,
And then you go a little bit lower to your sacral chakra,
Deep down in your belly,
You also might feel sensations here,
And that's not strange,
Because all kinds of emotions might be elevated at this moment,
Be more present,
And then go one more time back to your root chakra,
And you already might feel directly the connection with Mother Earth,
And if you like,
Today you can ask for the help of your own spirit guides,
Or spirit guides,
Or spirit animal,
So take a moment to invite your spirit guide or guides,
By just inviting them,
And then wait,
Pause for a moment,
And just sense,
Feel what is happening,
And I will do the same,
And perhaps you noticed something,
Perhaps you sensed something,
You heard something,
Or you felt something,
It can be anything,
And it might be different for everyone,
And it's also possible you didn't sense anything particular,
But don't worry,
Rest assured that your spirit guide or guides are present,
And I really felt a big change,
And I feel difference in the energy right now,
And this is still the preparation for the meditation,
And I looked up which angels are in particular connected to the moon,
And this is Archangel Haniel,
So I would like to invite Archangel Haniel,
And Haniel's energy can help us connect with the moon in a minute,
So please also invite Archangel Haniel,
And the other Archangel which is helpful today is Archangel Jeremiel,
And this Archangel can bless this meditation with its energy,
And it can help us review our lives and release the negative patterns or energies from our consciousness,
So these are different Archangels which we're inviting today to be present,
Also take a moment to perhaps sense that,
And then I would like to call in the element air from the left side of our bodies to create a safe space around us,
And call in the element fire from the south side of our bodies,
And then the energy of the element water from the west side of our bodies,
And the element earth from the north side of our bodies,
And all these energies help us or protect us so that this meditation can take place in a safe space,
And perhaps you can also sense that again,
And we already asked the blessing of mother earth,
And from above we can ask the blessings from the great spirits,
Or our ancestors,
Spirit guides,
Or whomever you want to call upon,
It's all fine so that we have a good protection from all sides,
Slowly the energy,
The tension is still building up,
Perhaps you can sense that,
And now it's time to start connecting with the energy of this special full moon,
And first of all,
Perhaps an image pops up into your mind,
Like what is the full moon presenting you right now,
How do you see the full moon,
Is it very far away,
Or is it very close to you,
Can you already feel its energy,
Or do you find it difficult to sense it,
Or difficult to determine what energy you're feeling right now,
But what you may do if you want to follow me is visualize the full moon really really close to you,
Like the full moon is like the size of a big skyscraper,
Like a big apartment building,
And you are standing right in front of it,
Because this was the image which vividly came to me right at the beginning,
And you are standing there with your legs a bit apart,
Your hands alongside your body,
With your palms facing forward,
Your eyes closed,
And you're just embracing the energy of this full moon,
And perhaps the image came to me that it's so big,
Because it is a super full moon,
And it is more powerful,
And just absorb it now,
And you can use the breath to really take the light energy,
The powerful light energy into your system,
And we are prepared to handle this amount of light,
Because we just called in all the help of spirit guides,
So breathe in,
And let this energy of this full moon enter all your cells,
It can enter your cells,
It can enter your chakras,
It can enter your energy lines,
It doesn't matter,
So breathe in,
And slowly,
Slowly start to take it in,
Breathe in,
And let go what you want to release right now,
Breathe in,
Take on this beautiful energy,
This strong light energy,
Breathe in,
And let it set all the toxins free within your system,
Breathe in,
And let go,
And you can also sense all the toxins,
Everything you no longer need through these roots to mother earth,
For her it's okay,
And breathe in,
Embrace this strong energy,

And then you can just let go,
Or if you want to continue for a while you can still continue,
But probably it will keep going because you sort of created a path again,
And it's like from standing you're now lying down,
It's like you're going through the air,
And the energy of the moon is like really embracing you,
Touching you everywhere,
Like you're becoming a mummy fool with light,
With energy around your body,
You're being like,
Like a cleaning is going on,
Like a detox of all the negativity,
Everything which has built up in the past month,
And perhaps partially from this year,
And let the energy of the moon do its work on you,
And in the next image I get,
Is that you are in the prayer position like with your head and hands on the floor,
On your knees,
Being grateful for the moon and its cycle,
Being grateful for being part of this,
Of this natural cycle which appears every month,
Being grateful that you're part of nature,
Being grateful for the lessons of nature,
Being grateful for the lessons you are individually learning,
And how you are growing,
And also being grateful for the insights you're getting today.
And if the energy isn't strong enough for you yet,
Then I suggest let's do some more breathing,
So breathe in again,
And really visualize to take on even more energy of the moon,
And let it enter all your cells,
And let go again,
Breathe in again,
Embrace the high quality of this light within your system,
And let go of anxiety,
Let go of fears,
Breathe in again,
This is really a high frequency,
A high healing frequency,
So embrace it,
And let go again,
And one more time,
Breathe in,

And perhaps you feel warmth,
Perhaps you feel hot,
Perhaps you feel all kinds of sensations,
That's possible because this is no joke,
This energy,

This full moon encourages a sense of surrender,
So surrender,
Let it go,
Release,
And let it go with grace,
It's okay,
You don't always have to be so strong,
And keep holding everything together,
The most beautiful people are the people who dare to be vulnerable,
Who dare to tell,
To talk from their hearts,
This is how we connect as human beings,
And how we gain respect and love for each other,
Embrace this lunar cycle,
Which has come to its peak today again,
And then go back to your heart again,
And breathe through your heart,
Open your heart,
Breathe through your heart,
And you're opening your heart again,
Perhaps the past month you have built some walls,
Some protection,
But it's the right time to let go of this again,
To start fresh tomorrow,
To have the courage to start fresh again tomorrow,
And now again,
Send some love,
Some clean love,
Some new love,
Charged love from your heart again,
And you can do this also from your heart,
It goes towards your left shoulder,
And the energy goes from your left shoulder towards your left hand,
And from your left hand and heart together,
Send some of this pure love,
This vulnerable love to everybody who is joining right now,
And this will be amplified with the strong energy of the moon,
And let us help heal each other,
Let us become stronger,
So that the light can again win over the dark,
And perhaps you already feel some sensations in your right palm,
And this is where you may receive the love from everybody else,
And this is like so beautiful,
You feel the sort of cleansing energy of the moon,
And this love from all of you is even stronger,
It's a different kind of energy,
And it's trying to enter also my cells,
And perhaps you can sense the same,
And try to open yourself up for this,
Embrace it again,
You deserve it,
Really you do,
And let these energies set the emotions which came up,
Your fears around your stability,
Work,
Your income,
Your money,
These are all the things the sign of Taurus governs,
Can you let go of some of these fears,
And really start to trust yourself based on your own values,
Based on your own purpose,
You are abundance,
Have deep trust in yourself,
And let the energies do its work in some chakras,
Perhaps one or two,
Or perhaps you feel pain,
Or tension,
Or shaking in more areas in your body,
It's all okay,
It's about releasing,
And just use your breath,
You are safe,
Embrace the love of everybody else,
And the love,
The energy of the moon,
And because we are with many people,
Everything gets amplified,
It becomes even stronger,
And really try to surrender to this energy,
Perhaps your first reaction is to resist,
To suppress,
Or to fight it,
But you are invited to really let it go now,
Feel what the energy is doing right now,
And really try to become aware of your own value,
What is your value,
That's actually the only thing that matters,
Not being dependent on anything else,
But to really trust and love yourself,
And it's really a different kind of energy,
It's really doing its work within my system,
Like it's breaking barriers for some reason,
I don't know,
And i am curious what you are feeling,
What the energy is doing for you,
And if it helps you,
It's also possible to use the breath one more time,
To really embrace the love from everybody else,
And the light of the moon,
But also really to let go,
Because the light and the love is really trying to loosen up all these emotions,
The pain you are carrying,
And lets the energy of the breath,
The movement,
Maybe it helps to release it a bit quicker,
Or a bit more thorough,
So breathe in,
And send it to the places where you perhaps feel some pressure,
Or perhaps even pain,
And maybe the breath,
By really letting go deeply,
Can help to release it a bit more stronger,
So breathe in,
Take the energy in,
And let go again,
Breathe in,

And feel the energy,
It's getting really strong now,
Can you accept it,
What is it doing within your system,

And to invite more clarity and calmness,
Which are helpful in the next couple of months,
And what is it that you would like to manifest for the coming months,
What would you like to manifest,
Just take a moment to reflect on that question,
And be careful what you wish for,
Because with this moon's energy it will be amplified,
So take a moment to reflect what would you like to manifest,
And then say it within yourself,
What you would like to manifest in the coming months,
And we all receive the blessings of this super full moon,
Which will amplify our wishes,
And feel all these sensations working in your body,
And just now be with it,
Perhaps some of the tension is already sinking a bit,
That the pressure has gone down,
Now actually don't need to say so much anymore,
It's like we're reaching a realm of greater awareness,
Perhaps you feel that the energy is becoming a little less,
And it's really a different kind of energy today again,
And it probably has to do with this super full moon energy,
And I felt different kinds of sensations today in my body,
But I trust really the process that it was meant to be,
That whatever had to happen,
Or whatever happened,
Had to happen within my system,
And I hope it's worked out for you as well in this way,
I would like to say thanks to both the archangels which we called upon,
Also thanking all the elements which I invited today for extra protection,
And you may thank your own spirit guides,
And I will do the same,
I still sense some type of energy,
And perhaps you as well,
But I think it's okay to slowly bring it to an end,

Dankjewel Anne, voor deze meditatie. Het is dan wel geen volle maan meer, maar ik heb er wel iets aan gehad. De verbinding voelde ik, en het was fijn.🥰🙏💕

Hoi Anne Wat een top meditatie. Het duurde even voordat ik het kon opschrijven… Het was niet het moment van de super volle maan dat ik deze meditatie luisterde en beleefde. Wel voelde ik meer dan de intentie van deze energie. Mijn vertaling van mijn beleving is dat verbinding (spiritualiteit) de liefde is met de gehele wereld. Zo krachtig, helend, voortschrijdend, reinigend en inspirerend dat je dit integrale gevoel blijvend wilt omarmen. It took me a while to write it down... It wasn't during the super full moon that I listened to and experienced this meditation. However, I felt more than just the intention of this energy.
