What if mindfulness isn't about stopping your thoughts? In this short 3-minute introduction, you'll learn what mindfulness really is and what it isn't. Contrary to popular belief, mindfulness isn't about emptying your mind. It's about paying attention to the present moment with openness and curiosity, even when thoughts are present. Through a simple experiential exercise, you'll discover that mindfulness isn't the absence of thinking. It's the ability to notice thoughts without getting completely pulled into them and gently return your attention to what's happening right now. Whether you're new to mindfulness meditation or simply curious about the practice, this video offers a beginner-friendly introduction to present-moment awareness. Have you noticed?

The mind is rarely where the body is.

We're eating breakfast while thinking about war.

We are walking while thinking about the weekend.

That's actually why we need mindfulness.

Hello Beautiful Being!

My name is Anisha.

And I am a mindfulness meditation teacher.

In this video,

I want to share what mindfulness really is.

And what it's not.

One of the biggest myths about mindfulness is that It means emptying your mind.

And having no thoughts.

Well,

It doesn't.

Mindfulness is simply paying attention to what's happening right now.

With openness and curiosity.

Even when thoughts are present.

In fact,

Let's try it together.

Close your eyes for a moment.

And notice the next step.

Thought that appears in your mind.

Maybe it was about your day.

Maybe it was about this video.

Or maybe it was something completely random.

Notice that you are aware of that thought.

And that's mindfulness.

The goal wasn't to have no thoughts.

The goal was simply to notice What?

Was happening.

Without any judgment.

And if you would like to explore mindfulness a little more deeply,

I would invite you to check out the free 21-day mindfulness meditation challenge on my profile.

I hope to see you there.

Take care.

Bye-bye.
