Welcome Mama.
Whenever you're ready,
Let's ease into this moment.
Before we begin,
Allow yourself to settle into this practice.
That will bring you back to yourself.
Find a comfortable posture,
Sitting or laying down.
Adjust your body in any way so that you feel full comfort.
As you pause to check in.
To listen inwardly is one of the greatest gifts of care that a mother can offer herself.
And in this practice,
I invite you to take what lands for you and let go of what doesn't.
And acknowledge yourself,
Mama,
Right here at the start for choosing to take this time for you.
It isn't always easy.
It requires navigating,
Compromising.
Choosing.
So truly,
Good for you,
Mama.
Let's begin.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
Feeling the lungs expand.
And a slow,
Long,
Steady breath out Let your shoulders soften Let your belly relax Let your jaw release.
Feel your body supported beneath you.
Feel your breath arriving and falling away.
Letting go of what's come before this moment.
And just seeing if you can settle in to just being right here right now.
Now's you've settled.
Begin to sense the truth that motherhood is not a single transformation.
It is a continual becoming.
Every season shapes you.
Every challenge stretches you.
Every moment with your children awakens something inside.
Let yourself notice the many versions of you that motherhood has carried.
Who you were before your children.
Who you were in those early days of mothering.
And who you're growing into now.
See if you can feel into the parts of you that are tied to past identities.
Parts who miss who you once were.
Hearts who grieve the freedoms or capacities you used to have.
The parts of you who feel uncomfortable in the unknown.
Of parts who struggle with change.
Parts who find the in-between especially hard.
Turn now towards these parts with tenderness.
Let them know you see them.
Let them know you care.
You might silently say,
You're not alone.
I'm here with you.
You might imagine offering them a warmth.
Soft light.
A gentle embrace.
Perhaps on this next exhale,
Some heart breath reaching out to these parts with love and care.
Touching the places inside you that resist or fear what's unfolding.
Notice where these parts live in your body.
Heaviness in the chest.
Tightening in the throat.
An ache in the belly.
Just be with whatever is here.
Without trying to change it or make it any different.
Is giving it room to beat.
Held in your loving awareness.
Now gently widening your awareness to include the parts of you that are emerging.
Hearts that are awakening because of motherhood.
Heart sensing new desires.
New values,
Hearts growing stronger.
Parts that are curious about what's possible.
Hearts ready for the next version of you.
Let these parts step forward if they want to.
Feel their energy.
Quiet,
Still,
Steady.
Hopeful?
Like a small light beginning to glow.
Aware that you're holding both realities at once.
The parts who struggle with change and the parts who are awakening within you.
Take a slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Imagine creating spaciousness around this transition.
Making room for the becoming.
That is unfolding.
Making room for who you are no longer.
And who you are not yet.
There's no rush.
You do not need clarity right now.
You are allowed to trust the process.
If it feels supportive,
You might offer yourself an anchor phrase.
Every version of me belongs.
I am allowed to change.
I trust the unfolding might be coming.
I am enough.
Letting these words meet whatever parts need them most.
Now imagine your whole inner world softening,
All identities resting.
New awakenings.
All of it held in the steady presence of yourself.
Feel the breath opening space.
Feel the exhale easing the edges.
Feel yourself supported in this moment of transition.
As we close,
Sense the steadiness beneath you.
The breath within you.
The life in and through you that breathes you and supports you.
And nurtures your growth.
You are allowed to redefine yourself.
And you are allowed to take your time.
You are becoming again.
And you are held through it all.
