Hi there and welcome to Freedom Sound.

Today we'll be doing a morning meditation for positivity and joy.

So coming to a comfortable seat,

Either in a cross-legged position or any other position that's comfortable for you.

Hands are resting on the knees or on the lap,

Eyes are closed,

The shoulders are relaxing down the spine and the weight of the sit bones is gently sinking down into the floor as the body relaxes and prepares for your meditation.

And as we sit here gently beginning to focus on the breath,

Starting to notice that subtle inhale and soft exhale of the breath,

Using the breath to welcome yourself to your practice this morning and noticing that that awareness of the breath is almost like a reminder that reminds the mind and reminds the body that this is a different chapter of your day,

A part of your day where there are no distractions,

Where there's nothing to do,

Nothing to think about except to breathe with awareness and sit with yourself.

So let's start off by watching the breath,

See if you can follow the flow of breath in through the nostrils,

Past the throat into the lungs and out of the lungs,

Past the throat,

Out of the nostrils,

Feeling the movement of the breath and using the breath to let go of everything that has happened before this moment,

Letting go of how your day began,

Any dreams or the quality of sleep of the night before,

Really letting go of every moment that has happened before this moment and with that same rhythm of the breath,

Also letting go of any thoughts of the future,

Letting go of any expectations for your day ahead,

Any tasks or to-do lists and using the breath to allow yourself to settle into the right here,

The right now,

The present moment,

Knowing that this is the most important moment of your day today and just allowing yourself to be here now.

Now as we breathe with each inhale,

We're going to imagine that we're breathing in positivity,

Love and joy into the body.

So perhaps even as you breathe in,

You visualize a warm glowing light of all of this good energy entering through the nostrils,

Soothing the throat,

Glowing down into the lungs,

Expanding the chest and being sent to every cell in your body and once you've done that with the inhale,

On the next exhale imagining that you're breathing out anything heavy,

Anything that seems to be dragging you down or holding you back,

Using the breath to infuse the body with light and love and using the exhale to cleanse the body of what no longer serves us and as this happens we see that the breath begins to heal us from the inside out,

Washing away any thoughts that may be negative towards our day today and instead allowing us to tap into the positive potential of this wonderful day ahead.

Keep breathing and visualising,

Feeling the energy field of the mind and body beginning to recalibrate and to invite even more positivity into the body today.

Let's take a moment to list five things that we are grateful for in this present moment.

These may be things as simple as the ability to breathe freely and without constriction.

We may be grateful for the ability to have a safe space to start and prepare for our day ahead.

Perhaps there's gratitude for our incredible body and the health that we possess.

Or perhaps the gratitude is about the fact that we have woken up from our sleep this morning,

A gift that not many people have been given today.

Find your list of five things that you are thankful for.

Notice the feelings that gratitude tends to stir in the body and seeing if we can hold onto this ethos of positivity and gratitude for the remainder of our day,

Knowing that while we may not be able to control exactly what comes our way today,

We can control our approach to it.

Choosing to see every moment today as life happening in our favour and allowing ourselves to tap into the potential of love,

Light and positivity that is on the menu for our day.

Remembering our visualisation,

Let's take three deep breaths together,

Taking a deep breath in through the nose,

Breathing in positivity and joy,

Opening the mouth and sighing out anything that no longer serves us.

Two more times,

A deep breath in through the nose,

Opening the mouth,

Sighing out,

Releasing and letting go.

And one more deep breath in through the nose and opening the mouth,

Sighing out and letting go.

Let the breath find its natural rhythm and then let's slowly bring the hands together to touch at the chest in prayer,

Feeling that connection for a moment,

Starting to rub our hands together,

Generating warmth and energy and then gently bringing our hands to rest over the closed eyes.

Before opening the eyes,

Setting your intention for your day ahead,

Repeating your intention to yourself and then gently when you're ready,

Starting to flatten the eyes open as if seeing for the first time,

Waking up to a brand new day,

Widening the space between the fingers,

Allowing more light to enter the eyes,

Shapes,

Colours and texture and when you're ready,

Releasing the hands down towards the knees.

It has been an absolute pleasure guiding through your practice today.

I wish you a wonderful,

Bright new day ahead.

Namaste.
