Let's find your calm,

Peaceful place where you can relax and be yourself just as you are right now.

Sit nice and upright like a tall,

Strong tree or your favourite superhero with both your feet on the floor and give your arms and hands a quick shake to shake off all the things that have happened so far today,

Especially anything that might not have gone so well or that has upset you.

Now stop shaking your arms and hands.

The next thing we need to do is rub our hands together really quickly to build up your superpowers.

So rub your hands together and stop.

Now it's time to find our calm place.

So place your hands on your tummy.

Gently close your eyes.

And now,

Can you notice some tingling or fizzing or buzzing in your hands?

See if you can feel that as your hands rest on your tummy.

That tingling feeling is your magical superpowers lighting up your magic star.

Your magic star is your very own star that surrounds you like a big bubble,

Creating a safe space where you can relax and feel peaceful.

Can you feel that your hands are a little less tingly and fizzy now?

As they get less tingly,

You start to feel a little calmer and more relaxed.

Now,

Although you're sitting still,

Some parts of your body might still want to move and that's okay.

Can you notice anything moving now?

Maybe your legs,

Your arms,

Maybe you can notice your eyelids moving or your hands.

Your body is actually always moving because of your breathing.

Can you feel how your breathing makes your body move?

Just notice for a moment.

Focusing on your breathing can help you to find your calm,

Peaceful place.

So let's focus on our breathing right now.

You can do this by bringing your attention to your hands on your tummy.

Can you feel your hands on your tummy?

Feeling those places where your hands and tummy meet.

And can you notice your hands being pushed out as you breathe in?

And then coming back down as you breathe out.

Breathing in,

Rising up.

Coming out and floating down.

And as you breathe,

Your magic star surrounds you like a big bubble,

Helping you to feel calm and safe.

And if you don't feel super calm right now,

That's okay too.

Maybe you have a worry or maybe you're feeling really wiggly today.

Try to focus on your tummy rising and falling as you breathe.

Feeling a little calmer and a little more relaxed with each breath.

Breathing in,

Rising up,

Breathing out,

Floating down.

And now it's time to end our magic star meditation.

Take a nice deep breath in.

Breathing out and gently open your eyes.

Well done,

You did great.

Have a lovely day.

Not just great for kids, but for everyone! An excellent practice focused on the breath and being energized and aware of your personal star, a light within that supports you through your day. Good narration and soothing background music too.

Andy! We love your kids mediations! My 7 year old daughter and I listen to one or two of your kids mediations every night, particularly your Kids learn to Meditate course. We really love them, and both find them so relaxing, thank you! πŸ’œ
