Becoming Light is a journey that takes you to the stars and beyond. The track begins with full body relaxation, opening you to receive an infusion of light. As the meditation progresses you become filled with Divine light expanding beyond the confines of your physical body, eventually becoming Light itself. This track is energizing and relaxing. It expands your mind, energy, and awareness, grounding you in Light.

Transcript

As you're settling in,

Choose a position that allows you to be comfortable and relaxed,

Ideally in a place where you can be uninterrupted for the duration of this meditation.

As always,

We're going to begin with the breath.

Notice your breath.

Is it shallow and tight?

Is it relaxed and full?

Find your breath by breathing nice and deep.

Allow your breath to open you up to the present moment.

We're going to do three breaths together.

When you breathe,

Visualize drawing the breath down in through the top of your head,

Sending it all the way down to the soles of your feet.

On the exhale,

Reverse the image and imagine pushing the breath from the bottoms of your feet out the top of your head.

Engage the diaphragm to squeeze out all of the expired air so you can get a nice,

Full inhale on the return.

Here we go with the first breath.

Breathing in nice and full all the way down to your feet.

Now exhale and release all of that breath out the top of your head.

Good.

Now one more,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Feel your body opening as you take one more breath in and out.

As you relax and settle in,

Make any adjustments to your posture or your position so you can be as comfortable as possible.

Feel the relaxation as it spreads through your body.

Give permission to all of your cells to balance and open.

Let your mind and your nervous system settle and go still like the surface of a lake that is perfectly smooth and clear.

If a distracting thought comes in,

Simply observe it like a cloud momentarily passing in front of the sun.

Watch as it gently drifts by and dissipates into nothing.

Observe your thoughts without engaging with them.

Feel your awareness shift from your mind into your body and drop down into your center.

Visualize holding a small pebble over a pond.

Open your fingers and let the pebble drop.

Watch as it gently floats to the bottom.

Follow the pebble and drop into the deepest part of yourself.

Effortlessly allow your awareness to deepen as you breathe.

Now let your breath find its natural rhythm and become aware of your body.

Feel yourself becoming fully present within your physical vessel.

Notice the clothes you're wearing against your skin.

Feel the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen as it expands and contracts.

Wherever you are sitting,

Feel the chair or the floor or the bed beneath your body.

Breathe fully into the presence of this moment.

Right now there is nothing but this moment.

Think of your awareness as a flashlight.

Wherever you point this flashlight is where your focus and attention go.

You can point the flashlight somewhere in the room.

Watching as it illuminates that area.

You can point that flashlight towards a thought or a sound.

Notice that wherever you point the light of your awareness,

It expands and grows.

You can also turn that loving light upon yourself.

Do that now.

Gently turn the light of your focus towards yourself.

Where does it want to go?

Follow the light as it moves over your body.

It doesn't matter where your focus goes.

Just breathe and follow your awareness.

Keep breathing.

Observe the light as it begins to slow and come to rest on the top of your head.

See the glow of your focus as it lights this area up.

Now send your breath to that spot.

Breathe in nice and deep as you draw your breath to the light.

Notice how powerful the combination of your breath and your awareness are as you focus on the top of your head.

Feel the comforting warmth as you breathe in and out of that area.

Notice as you breathe how the muscles and tissue around that area begin to soften and relax.

Allow this warmth to spread and expand.

With each breath,

Notice the light spreading down the top of your head.

Allow it to gently glide down over your forehead.

Feel the muscles in your brow and your jaw relax as it moves down past your ears.

Follow the warmth as it glides down your neck,

Into your shoulders and your upper back.

Feel the light as it gently slips down through your chest and past your shoulder blades,

Continuing down your upper arms.

Let it flow and feel your muscles relaxing.

Notice how any tension or tightness simply falls away.

Keep breathing.

The light continues down into your torso,

Your middle back,

Your lower back and your abdomen.

Breathe and observe yourself filling with light.

Watch as it moves down into your hips and your pelvis.

Like golden honey,

It slowly moves down your legs,

Down over your knees,

Past your calves and your shins.

Follow the light as it continues down over your ankles and all the way down to the tips of your toes.

See yourself completely surrounded by this light.

Feel the loving warmth as it encompasses your entire body.

Breathe deep and allow yourself to receive this embrace.

Now we're going to take the light into your body.

As you inhale,

Imagine you are drawing the light in.

With each breath,

Watch as it gently soaks into your skin and begins to penetrate your cells.

This light is an infusion for your body.

You are soaking it up like a sponge.

Notice as each individual cell lights up like a miniature star.

As one cell lights up,

It creates a chain reaction by illuminating the cell next to it.

Observe through your mind's eye that you are lighting up from within.

Your core is glowing with the golden light that is spreading throughout.

The light moves through every part of you.

There is not one bit of you that it cannot reach.

This light brings loving presence to everything that it touches.

Keep breathing and allow the light to grow.

It has permeated each and every cell and you are becoming the light,

Blending and merging with it.

It grows brighter and begins to move beyond the boundaries of your physical body.

As the light expands,

So do you.

You are merged with this light now.

See as the light grows taller and wider.

Watch as it expands and grows.

You are the light that is filling the room like the sun.

Allow your form to fully dissolve into light.

Breathe and expand.

The light that you are begins to grow beyond the room.

It moves outside the walls,

Beyond the building.

You rise up above the city,

Beyond the horizon.

There are no confines,

There is no limitation.

You are like the sun that shines upon everything with no restriction.

Keep breathing as you expand out into the cosmos,

Beyond the solar system.

You are expansive and infinite.

You are this light.

You are endless and there is nothing that can hinder you.

Nothing can limit your boundless nature.

Breathe and expand as far out as you can.

You shimmer,

You shine and you glow just like the aurora borealis in the sky.

You are the sunrise,

You are the sunset,

You are the stars that twinkle in the sky.

You are a magical,

Infinite being made of light.

You are the light that shines through the prism,

Breaking up into every color imaginable.

Breathe and expand.

Gently become aware of your breath again,

Breathing nice and deep.

As you breathe,

Your body slowly comes back into form,

Your cells and molecules begin to reorient themselves,

Coming back into your body as you breathe.

As you return from the stars and the planets and the cosmos,

You will always have this experience to return to.

But for now,

Come back to the breath.

Your cells are still filled with light.

Your breath brings you back to the present moment as you gently return to the room and to the body,

Fully present,

Back to this moment in time.

When you are ready,

Wiggle your toes,

Give a big stretch as soon as you want.

Go ahead and open your eyes.
