A gentle, spacious reflection practice designed to help you close the year with honesty and softness. Guided by simple prompts and long pauses, this meditation invites you to notice what you’re proud of, what you released, what challenged you, and what quietly grew within you. There’s no pressure to be polished or profound — just an invitation to honour your year exactly as it unfolded: messy, meaningful, human.

Welcome.

Before you turn the page on your last year,

Take a moment to look.

Really look at the one you're closing.

Simply sit in stillness.

Close down the eyes.

Connect with your breathing.

And answer these prompts silently.

Let whatever arises be enough.

There's no right way to do this.

Begin by slowing your breathing.

And breathing out anything within you that says you have to get this right.

Release the pressure.

Release the performance.

So let's begin.

What are you proud of,

Even if no one else saw it?

A quiet effort.

A personal win.

Something small but meaningful.

Let it surface gently.

What did you let go of this year?

What feels lighter now?

A belief?

A habit?

A weight that you didn't realise you were carrying until you set it down?

Let it surface gently.

What was harder than you expected?

And what did it show you?

Let honesty speak softly here.

Not to judge yourself,

But to understand yourself.

What still hurts and deserves a little tenderness?

You don't have to fix it.

Just acknowledge it.

Offer it space and kindness.

What small,

Quiet moment do you never want to forget?

Something humble.

Something gentle.

Something that meant more than you realised in the moment it happened.

What part of you grew gently?

Steadily?

Quietly?

When no one was watching?

A strength?

A softness?

A way of showing up?

A way of caring for yourself?

Let it reveal itself slowly.

Now just breathe.

Let everything you've touched settle down.

No need to tie it all in a bow.

No need to make sense of everything in this moment.

Let this be your way of honouring the year.

Messy.

Beautiful.

Incomplete.

Just like you.

And when you're ready,

Let the breath deepen.

And bring yourself softly back.

Have a nice gentle stretch.

Open your eyes.

And remember,

As always,

Be gentle with yourself.
