Mindful Head Massage to release scalp tension. If you have ever had your hair washed at a hairdresser's, you will know how relaxing it can be. Our scalp can hold quite a bit of tension and this simple meditation will release and relax.

Transcript

It's time to relax your head.

Time to relax the scalp.

Close your eyes.

Raise your hands.

Place your thumbs behind your ears.

And spread your fingers over the top of your head.

Start making little circles with the fingers,

Gently at first.

Gently rotating.

Massaging.

Relaxing the scalp.

Take your time.

Move the fingers to areas that haven't been relaxed yet.

And gently,

Easily,

Make those small circles.

Relaxing.

Soothing.

Energizing.

Spend a few moments now.

Soothing the scalp.

And breathe.

Good.

A few moments more.

And relax.

Put your hands back down into your lap.

Notice how easy that procedure has been.

Give your toes a little wiggle.

Give your fingers a little wiggle.

Take a deeper breath.

Gently open your eyes.

You're back in the room.

Relaxed,

Refreshed,

Re-energized.

Be good to yourself.

I love this meditation and often comes back to it. It helped me cope with my alopecia by giving some scalp a bit of love. Often I do this head massage with rosemary essential oil and almond oil, since they're both good for the scalp. Would love to see more content like this!!
