Hello and welcome to The Daily Insight.
My name is Andrew Johnson.
In today's meditation we'll be focusing on emotional freedom.
Wishing you a restorative practice.
So making sure that you're sitting comfortably,
Taking a nice gentle deep breath in and out and allowing your eyes to close and starting to settle down.
Settling down into the moment.
Being here.
Being now.
Nothing to do.
Nowhere to go.
Just being here in this moment.
Paying a little attention to the flow of your breathing.
In and out.
In and down and up and out.
And noticing how as you rest your awareness on your breathing,
You're starting to slow down.
Starting to go a little deeper within.
The muscles starting to relax.
Starting to switch off.
And you of course know that there's very little you need do in this moment.
Apart from just allow it to happen and accept what's happening.
The breathing deepening.
The muscles relaxing.
In your mind now,
I want you to think of things that are stopping you moving forward.
Negative thoughts.
Negative behaviours.
Negative habits.
I want you to notice,
If you will,
That these thoughts,
These habits,
These behaviours are linked to the past.
They're connected to the past.
These connections have held you back.
These connections are there to be stretched,
Weakened and broken.
Pay particular attention to one connection now that you wish to be broken.
One particular connection that's holding you back from moving forward successfully,
Easily,
Gently.
I want you to take a couple of steps forward in your mind and stretch that connection.
Feel it and watch it extending.
Weakening.
Be gentle but strong.
A few more steps now and weaken that connection.
Feel it give.
Feel it break.
And feel the rush of positivity and energy that comes from breaking that unwanted,
Unneeded past connection.
You are back in control and you enjoy this feeling of freedom,
This feeling of release,
Of positivity,
Of confidence,
Of achievement as you take a deep breath now.
A deep awakening breath and as you breathe out,
You open your eyes and have a gentle stretch.
